Excellent Service & Quickly Referred

The doctors are very good. I had a recent breast cancer scare and the doctor saw me quickly and made an urgent referral. I was seen by the hospital within 2 weeks.
It's so hard to get an appointment

It's so hard to get an appointment. You can be waiting between 30 minutes to 1 hour to get through on the phones. Sometimes it seems like no one answers the phones at all.

I find it okay to get an appointment. The doctors are lovely and have referred me to the hospital.
I have always found the surgery very good

For me they have always been very good. I think the appointment system has improved recently and I have got appointments quite easily. The staff can sometimes seem a bit difficult but I find they try their best and they take a lot of abuse off people.
Poor communication & feel rushed on the phone

I have found it very hard to understand doctors at the surgery due to them having strong accents, and I am hard of hearing, and I do not always feel that I have a good understanding of the information they are telling me. The reception staff are also difficult to communicate because I feel very rushed by them when on the telephone, I almost feel dismissed by them.
Referral made quickly

A referral was made very quickly for my son and we have already had an appointment letter from a paediatrician at Solihull hospital. I am very happy with how quickly the doctor saw my son and referred for a consultant's opinion.
Helpful Staff

I recently had to cancel a routine blood test appointment due to testing positive for covid. The staff were very accommodating and re-arranged my appointment for me. In general I always find the staff helpful and I always manage to see a doctor when I need an appointment. As someone with a life-long illness I find their service and care excellent.
It's very hard to speak to or see a doctor

It is very hard to get hold of a doctor. It's difficult to get through on the phone lines and then getting through reception to speak to or see a doctor is near impossible. I needed a referral to the hospital and it took me a very long time to get this done.
My complaint was not accepted!

It is difficult to get an appointment. It's hard to get through on the telephone , it's normal to be holding for an hour to then be told that there are is no availability. You cannot book an appointment for the next day but are told to try again tomorrow. There are no appointments available on line even when they have told me there are. Over two weeks ago I handed in a letter to the receptionist for the doctors attention to issue urgent medication as outlined by the hospital. I have still not heard back and the pharmacy has not received the prescription. Some GP's are nice when you see them but I had an experience which was awful with one doctor. They accused me of smelling of alcohol, I do not drink and explained this. I tried to make an official complaint but they would not accept it.
No appointments when you call

It is very hard to get an appointment on the phone. I recently called for an appointment and was told that there were none left that day. I live locally so went to the surgery straight away where I queued and I got an appointment for that day. Why are they telling people on the phone that there are no appointments but are still giving them to people who are queueing for appointments. This just does not seem right or fair!
