Felt like they didn\'t want to examine me

During a recent visit I found the doctor to be hard to understand, rude and they seemed very nervous. I made a complaint about this as it didn't feel like they wanted to examine me.

No confidence in triage staff

There is an overreliance on triage staff who are not doctors, I have seen them a number of times and have been misdiagnosed so I have no confidence in them. I recently spoke to them about a cyst on my back and after eventually getting to speak to a doctor I was referred to UHB but I haven't heard anything since.

Difficult to get appointments around work

No extra appointments are provided for people who work. You used to be able to get appointments after 6pm but they don't offer this anymore. If the doctor wants to see you in 2 weeks you are also not able to pre book an appointment at that stage which is very frustrating.

Difficulty booking appointments on the phone

When trying to book appointments over the phone you have to listen to a load of rubbish and wait for a long time. There is a button to request a call back but they only call once and if you miss it you need to start the whole process over again.

Not properly informed of cancer diagnosis

I had been visiting this surgery for a year with a back ache before I was eventually referred for an x-ray by the doctor. I was then sent for an MRI which identified that I have kidney cancer which has spread to my bones. I was not informed of this diagnosis properly by Croft and only found out through a leaflet I was sent in the post.

A very good service

This service is generally very good, I am happy with the care provided. I am still waiting to get a flu jab despite being a carer but this could be due to my age.

Attended but they had cancelled appointment

I attended Croft Medical Centre for a pre-arranged appointment. When I arrived they told me that my appointment had been cancelled. I asked why and they told me that it was in their system that I had cancelled it. I argued with them that I definitely had not cancelled it but they would not let me see a doctor. I was not happy at all. I later received a telephone call from the surgery and they apologised and admitted that it was their error not mine. A very poor experience, but I am grateful that they admitted their error.

Awful surgery and difficult to get appointments

My experience with this service has been awful. I have been unable to get an appointment and they will not provide home visits.

The district nurse was very kind and caring

The district nurse was very kind and caring when I recently visited for leg dressing. They also contacted NHS 111 on my behalf to help me access further medical assistance.
