Absolutely fabulous thyroid care

June 26, 2024
The care I have received for issues with my thyroid has been absolutely fabulous. My only complaint is that parking was very difficult.

Delivery service not suitable for workers

June 26, 2024
Medication prescribed by my consultant can only be dispensed at the hospital pharmacy. During my last visit the prescription could not be completely filled with outstanding items. They tried to deliver this on two occasions to my home address but working full time meant that I missed the deliveries and there was no communication saying that the deliveries were going to be made. It would be useful if hospital pharmacies could deliver to a patients local pharmacy for them to collect there.

A&E staff not trained to meet my needs

June 26, 2024
This service provided in A&E is terrible, the wait times are too long and the care isn't great when you are seen. During my recent visit the staff assigned to care for me were not adequately trained to meet my needs.

4 hour wait with an appointment

June 26, 2024
I waited over 4 hours to be seen by a doctor, even though I was booked in to be seen by NHS 111. The staff were great and did keep checking on me. Treatment was good when I eventually saw a doctor.

Long waits in A&E

June 25, 2024
During my recent visit to A&E I was waiting from 6pm to 2am. I don't feel like it's their fault however as GPs are constantly sending people here instead of seeing them.

Good care on children's ward

Admitted straight from the badger clinic. Overnight stay where the child was closely monitored and treated with a nebulizer. Satisfied with care and treatment received.

Awful & understaffed ward 1

June 25, 2024
The nurses were understaffed and rushed off their feet meaning that they did not adequately care for or meet the basic needs of people admitted to ward 1. I had to assist, the person in the bed next to my relative, with eating their meals as they were completely unable to do it on their own. My relative had bedsores and it took 3 days to get an airflow mattress for them. A further concern was miscommunication about patients being on the ward with covid. We were not made aware of it and it took time for the patients to be isolated.

Terrible management and service

I recently visited the ophthalmology department at this hospital and my experience was terrible. The management and maintenance of this hospital are unbelievably bad and the wait times are terrible. I have since gone private for further treatment.
