UHB Heartlands Hospital

I was referred here from Solihull Hospital and that process was fine. It is very busy here, much more so than Solihull Hospital.

Carers attended my home and told me it had been arranged by Heartlands Hospital. I told them I knew nothing about the visit and it came to light that the hospital had given my details in error as the person who needed the services had the same name as me. This concerned me and I hope that the person in question got the care they needed.

I was moved onto ward 8. Some patients on the ward were very noisy. The nurses did their best to keep everyone happy and cared for. The doctors were good too.

I spent a short time in AMU at Heartlands Hospital before being transferred to a ward. The doctors and nurses were very good.

I was taken to A&E after passing out. I was told there was a 7 hour wait to see a doctor because there was none available. In that time I was looked after, and I was given a blanket and a sandwich. The A&E department was not a nice experience. It was late at night, it was busy and noisy. People were laying across chairs. The nurses and doctor were good.

I was brought in to A&E at Heartlands Hospital by ambulance following a bad fall. I waited from 11am to 7pm to be seen. During that time I was only offered one cup of tea. I was tired and hungry and in pain, my experience was awful. After finally having an x-ray I was allowed to go home. However, I was later contacted stating that I should have had a head scan. I was disappointed that this had not been done. My experience was very poor.

My appointments at Heartlands Hospital has been good. I have found the staff to be very helpful.

This hospital isn't as nice as Solihull Hospital.

My maternity care at Heartlands Hospital was outstanding. From antenatal care to my labour experience. The staff were wonderful and I felt well cared for and reassured during delivery.

I was admitted for three days, during which time I was moved wards at 3am. My experience was not great.
