No follow on care after discharge

June 4, 2024
My experience being discharged from this hospital after a stay relating to my heart condition was very poor. I was just sent on my way with no follow up or after care. I had to chase my GP for advice and even they wondered why I hadn't received any follow up.

11 hour wait in A&E

June 3, 2024
My husband was taken to A&E with worrying symptoms. we were taken by ambulance and spent 7 hours waiting in the ambulance and a further 4 hours inside the hospital. He was very upset as I was unable to go to the toilet this whole time so we ended up going home. He has had multiple visits to A&E and each one has made him worse so he refuses to go again.

Still awaiting treatment for ear infection

June 3, 2024
I attended my appointment here for treatment of an ear infection. I was told they couldn't do anything at that appointment and I had to wait to see a consultant. I have been given multiple courses of antibiotics but none of them have worked.

Lack of personable care and privacy

June 3, 2024
My hip operation at this hospital went well. I was then told that I would be able to go home but had to wait all day for an enema that didn't happen until 7pm when I had people visiting. There is a lack of personable care and privacy here.

I missed my appointment with a heart consultant due to an admin error which meant I was not receiving correspondence from the hospital. I am still having issues with communication from the hospital to this day.
