UHB Heartlands Hospital

The ENT department at Heartlands hospital have been brilliant. Investigations, diagnosis, treatment and on-going care have all been great. The consultant came to feel more like a friend than my doctor. I felt reassured and any questions I had were always answered. Very grateful for the excellent service I received.

The ENT department at Heartlands hospital have provided outstanding service and treatment. I was referred on a Monday and had my appointment on the Thursday. I was seen very very quickly and my cancer diagnosis was made quickly following this appointment. The consultant was fantastic. I was well informed and any queries or concerns I had were addressed by them. Treatment and follow on care has been brilliant.

I was waiting all day in A&E with chest pains. I was put on a mixed ward which was just awful. I called my daughter to pick me up at 3am and walked out without any treatment. This hospital is just awful.

The care I received from the cardiology team was very good.

I was admitted to one ward but was then moved to a different one at 4am. The wards are so busy and there are not enough beds or staff to cope with how many people are coming in.

Parking was a nightmare. I was then waiting for 20 hours in the A&E waiting room for a bed. I was pulled aside and offered sandwiches and drinks but the environment in there was really horrible. There were a number of drunk people in there accompanied by police.

I found the care from this service wonderful. The staff were so patient, I don't know how they do it.

The children's wards at this hospital are amazing.

I had heard a lot of negative stories about labour and delivery here so I went with lots of information and a plan. My experience was good overall as a result.

I recently visited this hospital for a check up but was told that the machinery used for testing was broken and I would have to come back another time. I refused and told them I would wait to be seen and was not leaving. They eventually found a working machine and my appointment went ahead.
