The rheumatology department has been great

I have had a very good experience at Heartlands Hospital's rheumatology department. The department was well run, I was seen in good time and the care/treatment has been very good. The doctors communicate well and I feel well informed.

No wheelchairs available

There were no wheelchairs available when I visited recently. I was late to my appointment as I was stood propped up on a rail waiting for a porter to be sent to help me. I wasn't even able to sit down as the seats were too low.

Facilities are atrocious

The facilities at this hospital are atrocious. Parking is absurd and the toilets are disgusting with most of them out of order and no information about where the next closest ones are.

Very good maternity care

The maternity care provided at Heartlands Hospital is very good. My experiences have all been positive. I cannot fault a thing. The midwives and doctors have all been great.

Varied experience depending on staff

The maternity service is generally good but my experience has varied depending on the staff. Some midwives are lovely but I have found some to be quite blunt hindering my experience.
