Outstanding end of life care

February 29, 2024
My brother recently received end of life care at Heartlands Hospital, and sadly passed away. He was very well cared for and the staff were wonderful. They communicated well with us and our family were well supported and cared for by the staff during a very difficult time.

Long wait but very good treatment

February 29, 2024
I recently had a suspected heart attack. I spent over 23 hours in the A&E department, but the care and treatment was very good. Lots of tests were carried out and they found a blockage. I was admitted for further treatment. Overall I was satisfied with the service.

No Red Card Priority in A&E

February 29, 2024
My experience was awful I waited over 7 hours to be seen, and was left in the general waiting area despite being a cancer patient and having a red card for emergencies. The staff took no notice of the red card and I was not examined or treated as a priority.

14 hour wait with blocked catheter

February 28, 2024
I was told to go to A&E at Heartlands by my GP because I was having problems with my catheter and it was blocked. It was a Friday evening. I was waiting for 14 hours overnight, I had to sit on a hard chair in the waiting room. My experience was awful.

Awful waiting times in A&E

February 23, 2024
My experience of the A&E department at Heartlands Hospital was awful. Waiting times were extremely long, and the staff were not very friendly or helpful. This may be due to how busy they were but a little kindness goes a long way and my experience could have been much much better.

Okay but parking is stressful

February 21, 2024
My appointments with maternity have gone okay though there can be a bit of a wait. I am not local to this hospital so it is difficult to get to as parking here can be a nightmare.
