Good treatment but uncomfortable environment
June 25, 2024
I recently stayed here for 3 days. The treatment was good but the environment itself was very uncomfortable with a lot of shouting and swearing at all times.

Satisfied with a good service & reassurance
June 24, 2024
I was referred to gynae by my GP. The referral came through quickly. I have attended three separate appointments to date. I have been looked after very well. The staff have been great, they have explained everything to me clearly and have been very reassuring. They have answered all my questions and I have been very satisfied with the service.
Outpatient appointment went well

I attended a liver scan today as part of my ongoing cancer treatment. The appointment went well. I saw a consultant who explained everything to me about treatment going forward. I have been happy with the quality of treatment.

Overwhelmed staff in A&E
June 24, 2024
I recently visited A&E and it was incredibly busy. The staff were all clearly overwhelmed by how busy it was.
Long wait lists but good advice
June 24, 2024
If there is a long wait list I go private but generally the doctors here will direct me quickly and correctly.
Awful discharge/bed management
June 24, 2024
The discharge process was slow with lack of advance notice given. They tried to send my elderly parent with a broken hip to the discharge lounge on a Sunday in the early afternoon, when she was not fit for discharge, paper work had not been completed and all assessments had not been done. The bed management team manager was called to speak with our family. She was incredibly rude and argumentative and tried to bully my parent into giving up their bed and waiting in the discharge lounge. Other patients who were much younger and much fitter were not discharged until hospital transport collected them from the ward. My parent was not discharged until early evening the following day so we are thankful that we stood our ground and refused to let them move her from the ward.
