I was advised to go to A&E with chronic back pain. I waited 13 hours to be seen by a doctor. It was an awful experience.

Visited A&E and it was an awful experience. I had a 12 hour wait to see a doctor and the response from staff while waiting was poor.

They found that I had a brain tumour around a year ago and I've just been left to it since. I was prescribed pain relief for the headaches it causes but I've not been told anything about what's happening.

The care I received on ward 89 was good. The doctors I saw were great.

I was waiting for 6 hours just to see someone for 4 minutes who gave me antibiotics and sent me away.

I spent months in Heartlands hospital recovering from a stroke and dealing with other health conditions. The care could be better and improvements need to be made. The staff as nice as some of them were, were extremely busy with not enough staff to care round the clock for patients in need. Communication from doctors could be improved if they explained more clearly without using big medical words that people are not familiar with. I found it hard to know what they meant when they spoke to me.

The ENT department at Heartlands hospital have been brilliant. Investigations, diagnosis, treatment and on-going care have all been great. The consultant came to feel more like a friend than my doctor. I felt reassured and any questions I had were always answered. Very grateful for the excellent service I received.

The ENT department at Heartlands hospital have provided outstanding service and treatment. I was referred on a Monday and had my appointment on the Thursday. I was seen very very quickly and my cancer diagnosis was made quickly following this appointment. The consultant was fantastic. I was well informed and any queries or concerns I had were addressed by them. Treatment and follow on care has been brilliant.

I was waiting all day in A&E with chest pains. I was put on a mixed ward which was just awful. I called my daughter to pick me up at 3am and walked out without any treatment. This hospital is just awful.

The care I received from the cardiology team was very good.
