MRI appointment went well

My experience of Heartlands Hospital was okay. I went for an MRI scan. I was happy with the service provided.
Poor phlebotomy service

I have to have regular blood tests to monitor my kidney condition. My experience of the phlebotomy department at Heartlands Hospital has not been great. There is always a really long waiting times with huge queues.
Good service if you have an appointment

I attend outpatient appointments at Heartlands Hospital for ongoing treatment and care with a kidney condition. My experience of the hospital has been good when attending appointments. I am usually seen in good time and the department staff are good.
A smooth and positive experience

I have been referred to Heartlands Hospital for blood tests by my GP on numerous occasions. My experience has always been positive and the visits have run smoothly.
Fine but parking and wait times are not good

They are fine but the parking and wait times are not good. I ended up waiting 2 hours past my appointment time to be seen.
Long wait in A&E but good staff

I was waiting in A&E from 10:30am till 6pm to be told I had a fractured hip. The staff were very good it's just the wait times that are the issue. This made the department very busy with people sat on the floor.
Very good care for Parkinson's

I was waiting 3 hours for treatment in A&E after being brought here by an ambulance.
A great service from the orthopaedic team

The service I received from Heartlands Hospital's orthopaedic department has been really great. The staff were all friendly and the consultant was very good. They communicated very well despite the language barrier and they explained that they would advise me to have knee surgery. They told me that the waiting list was not too long and I am expecting it to be carried out in March 2025. I am very happy with the level of care and service I have received.
