Long waits and poor parking
March 26, 2025
This hospital isn't great especially when it comes to the wait times and parking situation.
Good care from renal department
March 25, 2025
I visited the renal department and the care was good. The service overall was brilliant and I have no complaints.
Negligence led to life long condition
March 24, 2025
Due to the negligence of the surgeon operating on me, I have been left with a debilitating life long condition, which has left me with ongoing health problems. My quality of life since the operation has been awful. I live in daily pain. I complained and took legal action, but was unsuccessful, despite the pain and suffering I have endured every day since.
Cardiology care could be better
March 24, 2025
I am under the care of the cardiology team at Heartlands Hospital as I have AF. I do not get regular appointments to monitor my condition. I am only seen if I experience episodes of my heart racing out of rhythm. I have to contact them to tell them when these episodes happen. I think care could be better.
Poor consultant care
March 24, 2025
The consultant care I receive at Heartlands Hospital is poor because I always have to chase them for appointments. There is no continuity of care there are no regular check ups, I have to chase them when my condition flares up. The service I have received has been disappointing.
Extremely long wait in A&E
March 24, 2025
My experience in A&E was awful due to the extremely long wait times. At least the care was okay when I was seen.
Feel like they didn't check me over properly
March 24, 2025
I was waiting a long time to be seen then my appointment was over very quickly. It felt rushed and like they didn't check me over properly.
Awful A&E experience
March 24, 2025
I have had to attend A&E a number of times due to a life long condition I have following an operation that went wrong. My experience is never good at Heartlands Hospital. On one occasion a doctor was incredibly rude and told a nurse 'she's always here, just give her some medication and get her sent home'. I was made to feel as if I am a nuisance, and the doctor showed a complete lack of empathy or understanding about the severe pain I was in.
Poor communication from sonographer
March 18, 2025
I visited this hospital for a growth scan and the sonographer didn't speak much. He told me the placenta was low and booked me in for another appointment in 3 weeks. The communication around what this means was not great.
