Excellent experience with Hearing Centre/ENT

February 9, 2023
I have a hearing impairment and have regular appointments at Heartlands hospital. I recently had micro suction and the experience was excellent. Fantastic staff and care.

Awful care due to lack of resources

February 9, 2023
I collapsed at work and was taken in by ambulance. Long wait on ambulance, long wait when taken in. The experience was awful for me and my partner who came to support me. No one to tell you what's going on or to reassure you. Lack of staff, lack of resources. A really horrible and scary experience for us both.

Overworked staff & lack of resources

February 9, 2023
I recently attended my GP who sent me straight to A&E. I had pneumonia and was admitted for an overnight stay. I was treated but the care was not great. Not enough nurses to care for everyone properly. Lovely staff but being let down by lack of resources.

Had to attend accident and emergency because of a suspected fracture. Was worried about waiting times but was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was seen and sent to the Fracture clinic.

Diabolical

February 3, 2023
Not communicating with a deaf patient so that she could hear, and declaring her to have dementia her care was disgusting bordering on abuse.

I live with a long term medical condition and although this cannot be cured, the gynaecology department has been fantastic in supporting me with pain management.

Long waiting time for bed in hospital

December 9, 2022
I waited 9 hours in a wheelchair at the A&E before being moved to a ward. While I was waiting, no one spoke with me, I was hungry and lonely. I must say that I will rather be at home then feeling miserable in the hospital

Waiting times are too long

November 16, 2022
Too long for the waiting times.
I had to take my newphew last year who started experiencing breathing issues.
The Drs checked him and advised that he needed Iron tablets and Vita D tablets.
They provided prescriptions for these medications. Letter was sent to GP a couple of days later advising of the visit.
Consultants were good but results did not come in time.
Could have gone home earlier as I had to take all the children with me to the hospital.
