Self-referral process for physio was good

I made a self referral for myself to physiotherapy and it was really good, the service was great and the referral was really quick.
Doctors are uncaring

Wife wrote to MP as we couldn't get appointments.
MP said he had so many complaints of SHP and they wont reply to him so he thought we should contact Ombudsman.
I believe nothing will change. The doctors are uncaring.
Very unhappy with the surgery that we had to go private.

Overcrowded phone lines

The phone lines are always busy, getting through is difficult but once I get through all staff are supportive. Am very happy with the care I receive from all professionals.

The waiting time on the phone is the only thing negative about the surgery. When you finally get in to see the doctors, they are very great and helpful. Another thing is waiting for referrals to the hospital.
continuity of care

It would be good if I could see the same doctor every time and not different doctors on each visit. It makes no sense that I have to tell every doctor about my medical history each time. Its tiring.
Appointments cancellations

My appointments get cancelled on regular basis without any major reasons. It's not easy to get appointment for anything at this surgery so when my appointments get cancelled, I find it very had to accept it.
Long waiting time

The new partnership is causing long waiting time and long queues on the phone. It's rare that I will see a doctor within a week. It can take about 3 weeks before getting appointment to see a doctor.
Inconvenient to get to surgery

My parents are both elderly and I have to collect their medications for them separately. I have addressed it to the GP to do something about it as I am a teacher and I have my own commitments. I asked for the medications to be sent together to avoid going to the pharmacy multiple times.
Treatment for lung infection

I recently got to see the doctor for my lung infection and I was referred within days for radiography, the results came in and it was a nasty infection so I have been given antibiotics and I hope it start getting better.
Receptionist and call waiting time

Long waiting time on the phone for appointment, the lines are always busy, no calling calling in the morning because it will be busy. I walk in sometimes and the receptionist is never helpful.
