Paramedic staff were great and took care

October 27, 2022
I had a burst appendix last year in September. My mum had to call the paramedics when I managed to call her to advise her of the pain.
The paramedic team were great, and they got to me within 10 minutes.
They gave me morphine to aid with the pain and before they could start taking my BP reading or conducting any tests.
Staff were friendly.
When I was being taken into Heartlands hospital, The staff they kept checking if I was ok and kept me engaged through communication.

Paramedics provided great care

October 24, 2022
I gave birth to my son in my car. The ambulance arrived 10 minutes after the birth. There were 4 male paramedics, one of which, was his first birth and they were all amazing. They took care of me and my son so well.

I felt blessed they were there. My care continued at the hospital, the midwife there was great, helpful, kind, and empathetic.
Really amazing experience.

The paramedics came. They were so friendly and well mannered. They took great care and provided the receptionist with update when I got to the hospital.

My back had gone and I couldn't move in Dec 2021, I had severe pain.
Phoned 999 for an ambulance early evening and within 10 minutes of the call, they had got to me. I was assessed during the visit,
Paramedics were understanding and did their job thoroughly.
I was blue lighted to the heartlands hospital.
They kept engaging with me throughout the journey.

Not the greatest NHS service

August 29, 2022
Called 999 as no out of hours help. Nothing at the clinic, Solihull Mind closes at 11pm. So phoned 999. I am Desperate for help and they would send an ambulance in 5 hours time.
After which they would send me home and I would have to get a taxi or they would offer a bus ticket but because of my illness it makes me scared of travelling on the bus.

Advised to self drive to hospital

August 29, 2022
Rang for ambulance at the middle of night at 4am due to difficulties with breathing which I was experiencing. I had covid which was getting worse. I waited and no one arrived. An hour later I received a call from the staff advising me to self drive to Heartlands hospital.
I had to be taken into the hospital in Heartlands in the car. My husband was not able to come inside the building and could only drop me off outside which he should have been allowed due to my disabilities.
During the process I was kept informed, staff were fine and courteous.
