I was recently referred on the cancer pathway after a testicular cancer scare. The appointment came through very quickly and the appointment went well. The staff really put me at ease. My problem has been getting the results as I have been told to follow up with my GP and not the hospital.

Good care of disabled cancer patient

My spouse was recently a patient at Solihull Hospital. I was happy with the care received during their time in the hospital. The hospital put in place a care plan for care at home for 6 weeks. But this stopped after 4 weeks. I feel as though I have just been left with no care or support to look after my spouse.

Very good care taken of patient with dementia

May 9, 2024
My wife has dementia and has had to stay in Solihull hospital a number of times over the past 12 months. I have no complaints about the care and treatment provided. They cared very well for my wife. During times when she has had to stay in hospital it has been a break for me as her carer, and I have been happy to know that she is in good hands. During her most recent stay I went in daily to help dress her because the ward was very short staffed, but again the care overall was very good.

Brilliant care, felt at ease throughout

Imaging

I was seen within 2 weeks from referral, the care was brilliant and I was not waiting long to be seen. I had a second appointment not long after for a biopsy. I was given a coffee and made to feel at ease and while the hospital was busy it wasn't noticeable. The communication I received throughout the visit was good.

Excellent continuity of care

Rheumatology
May 1, 2024
I was referred here for an appointment with a consultant which came through within a week. During this appointment I was told that I needed an MRI which was booked in for a week later. I received the results and a follow up appointment the following week which was excellent. I am very happy with the continuity of care with everything being sorted within 3 weeks. The osteoporosis care here is excellent.
