UHB Solihull Hospital

I visited for a scan once and it was really good. They followed up with a letter which told me the appropriate next steps.

My scans went well, I was seen quickly on arrival.

I had a colonoscopy at Solihull Hospital. The appointment and procedure went well but I waited a long time for results and had to chase them up. Communication between the hospital and my GP surgery has not been great. After receiving the all clear from cancer I have just been discharged rather than transferred/referred to gastrology meaning that I will have to get back into the system via my GP surgery which is very difficult.

I am undergoing treatment for secondary breast cancer. The oncology team at Solihull Hospital are excellent. I am seen in person every three weeks but I can contact the team at any time over the telephone with any queries or concerns I have. They really are great.

I have to visit Solihull antenatal clinic for routine check ups that were previously provided at GP surgeries. Care is very good and I have no complaints, but travelling to the hospital is further, parking is difficult and I have to pay for parking. It is disappointing that this service has now fallen on hospital departments and is not provided in the local community.

I had a biopsy in the urology department. The appointment was scheduled quickly and I got the results quite quickly as well. They offer a good service and are very reassuring.

The postnatal care I received here was good.

I was treated by the dermatology department two years ago and had to have an operation. I received no follow on care at all. I had to chase them, it took some time and was quite frustrating. I finally had my appointment and I now need another operation. I have been left wondering what would have happened had I not chased this appointment up, it should not have taken two years to be seen again. I am very disappointed with the service I have received.

I had a rheumatology appointment at Solihull Hospital. It was cancelled and rebooked for Good Hope Hospital. I was not happy with the service received, and I am disappointed that they have now changed the hospital I have to visit. Solihull Hospital is local and Good Hope is quite far to travel.

I have been left very disappointed by the service provided by the oncology department at Solihull hospital. I have had my appointment cancelled and rescheduled for three months later in March. They also changed the appointment from a face to face appointment to a telephone appointment. I was not happy with this and I contacted the department, they were very helpful and have changed the appointment back to an in person appointment.
