SHP - Grove Surgery

The doctors are good. The problem with the surgery is the difficulty getting an appointment and the lack of continuity of care. You see different doctors all time time meaning that you have to continually have to explain your medical treatment, taking time away from the appointment itself. It can also lead to a lack of consistency with different doctors having different knowledge experience and advice.

I was being discharged from hospital and was required to book home visits from my GP as part of ongoing care and recovery. My family tried to book a visit for me but were told that it had to be booked on the day. Knowing how difficult it is to get through and actually book an appointment was very stressful. I did manage to get home visits as needed but the system could be simplified, and the anxiety and stress caused by their poor system could have been eased if these appointments could have been booked in advance.

I find Grove Surgery and SHP on the whole very poor. I just cannot get an appointment.

I am on the priority list due to a serious long term condition, and I can usually get an appointment when I need one. This is not always the case though. I do have to go through a lengthy triage process which can be frustrating. I am offered telephone appointments on more occasions than I am offered a face to face appointment.

This surgery is good overall, I have had no issues getting my family registered here.

In the past I had a very good experience of service from Grove Surgery. You were able to see the same GP who got to know you and got to know about your health conditions and symptoms. More recently this has changed and it is very difficult to see the same doctor. This is very disappointing and especially hard having long term conditions. The surgery now also refers you to other clinics and treatment centres rather than referring you to the hospital. I find this quite a hassle and I know other people have been having the same problems.

Cannot get an appointment EVER. Long term illnesses but nothing is monitored. No communication or contact. No way of speaking to anyone or finding out results & being pushed around to dead ends. Left to rot. To my utter surprise I Received very bad news via a text from the GP about 6 months ago & never spoke to the actual GP about it since. The service is not fit for purpose, Disgraceful.

I never have any problems with this service. I go in and they always find me an appointment.

The care I have received from this service has been very good.

They provide a very good service.
