Really helpful service

The staff were really helpful each time I contacted.
As a result of the call, I ended up at the hospital with a follow up call from the GP thereafter.

Excellent, easy to use, very reassuring with concerns and emergencies advise.
QE expert advice informed me that I hadn’t broken my elbow when a doctor from Manchester told me I had fractured it and put it in a cast for one week.

good service to have but staff need training

Used in the past for health concerns. The staff need to be medically trained or need to have knowledge of conditions. The triage and symptoms identification process is to long and you are having to repeat yourself continuously before they can signpost to a medical professional.
It will make the process quicker and easier to diagnose if the staff are medicals as they would be able to identify the signs and symptoms.

Poor advice/ Training required

Contacted NHS advice line 111 for advice after I was experiencing night sweats and pain in my chest.
Through details provided of the symptoms being experienced they advised it was indigestion.
The staff require proper training

Great service for patients

Called 111 when struggling to move last year. Call back straight away and sent for blood tests. Got a rheumatology appointment within 2 weeks

Good but need to provide local health care

The service is good and the staff are good however the medical service they provide appointments for or refer to are not locally accessible. I have issues with my leg and when I have contacted them I have been advised to go to the other side of Birmingham. The NHS needs to apply for out of hour GP appointment services.
