SHP - Monkspath Surgery

I find the whole service very good. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, I never have a problem booking an appointment. The doctor's are great, they offer good advice and treatment.

It can be difficult to get an appointment on the telephone so I always come down to the surgery and I never have a problem getting in. They are excellent for booking appointments for children and I can always get them a same day appointment. The doctors here are great.

It is very hard to get an appointment, and when I do there is always a very long wait in the surgery. The reception staff are very friendly but the doctors seem very disinterested when they see you. They have made me feel like a nuisance. The doctors do not seem to like seeing patients face to face anymore.

You can not get an appointment when you want or with the doctor that you want to see. I try to book appointments on the telephone or my spouse drives to the surgery to try and book that way. I know two of the doctors well and prefer to see them but it can take 6 weeks to see them.

Trying to get an appointment at my surgery is near on impossible, to the point that I have had to completely give up trying and attend the hospital instead. I am sent messages by the surgery that I need to book appointments but then cant get through and when I can there are no appointments available. It is a real shame because the care provided by the nurses and doctors is generally very good, but that's no good when you cannot access them.

They are ok.

You have to queue outside from 8.30 to make an appointment that is not for today. Good way to spread bugs. Not good in poor weather. Very long queue on the telephone.

The doctors and nurses are very good once you get appointment with them. Some times I can go for 6 months without having face to face appointment with the doctor. It can be quite frustrating.

Really disappointed with Monkspath so now I am going to Jacey practice which is much better as I can get appointment.

While being treated for a serious illness I felt I had no option but to leave this surgery. Impossible to get an appointment and a complete lack of helpfulness or understanding of my circumstances.
