SHP - Monkspath Surgery

I recently moved back to this country from Spain and this service has been brilliant. I had a blood test done here and was referred promptly for a follow up appointment. The receptionists are also nice and helpful.

I was sent here after trying to get an appointment at Green Lane Surgery. The care I received was okay.

It is virtually impossible to book an appointment here. Even when you call at 8am you can be waiting for over an hour and still not get an appointment. I am only able to get in for my regular injections. I never normally have an issue with this appointment but today I was 10 minutes late due to parking issues and was told I would have to wait a while to be seen.

A doctor here told me that I needed an ultrasound at the hospital. While I was waiting for this I moved out of the area and registered with another GP. When I went back to see what was happening they told me they cannot do anything because I moved to a new GP. My new GP told me they can't do anything without information from my previous practice which I do not have. Nobody seems to want to help me when I just want to find out what is wrong.

This service is rubbish. It is very difficult to get an appointment and you can be waiting a long time to be seen. My husband has ended up seeing a private GP because he cannot wait this long for treatment.

The surgery itself is good but it can be very difficult to get an appointment.

I had an appointment for tests booked in after a health check up. When I arrived on the day the staff at the counter told me that there was no appointment on the system.

I visit this surgery for regular injections. It is very easy to find parking here.

This service is okay. I am regularly sent here to see a doctor as part of SHP even though it is not local to me.

This is not my surgery but as part of SHP we are quite often offered appointments here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the doctors have been good. The parking facilities are excellent and very useful for me as a carer bringing my elderly disabled parent for appointments.
