Impossible to see a G.P
July 21, 2021
I had sudden hearing loss & tried 5 days to get a GP appointment. Each time there was no appointment left after waiting up to 45 minutes each time to get through. I had to use 111 & Badger clinic, who prescribed antibiotics
Useless

Receptionists are extremely rude and don’t give you time to explain why you need the service. In order to get an appointment you have to fit with the criteria made by the receptionists
Never get an appointment

Waited 40 minutes for them to cut me off. Never get an appointment receptionist say dont bother trying to call on a monday. Doctors are all lovely if you can get past the receptionist to see one.
Incompetent

The receptionists are totally incompetent and think it's OK to speak to people with such disregard. They constantly get things wrong and blame you. Someone seriously needs to retrain the receptionists or get new staff. And as for the doctors, we'll Dr [name] talks over you constantly and will not allow you to speak as you may undermine his authority and Dr [name] needs to retire, he is of no use to anybody. Misdiagnosis and informing you that they cannot help with your mental health. The only constant from that practise is sending out letters warning people if they dare to have a different opinion or even a point to make they will be barred from the practise. I will say though the nurses are lovely and actually talk to you with respect.
Receptionists are a total disgrace and rude

Cannot pre book appointments for non urgent reviews or reasons, takes days to even get through to ask for an appointment, receptionists are rude and unhelpful
Worst GP and medical centre

Been on the same medication for years and always have a review twice a year. As I use pharmacy2u to deliver my prescriptions, I no longer have a paper prescription which states my next review date.
My last review date passed and I only found out because the GP at Craig croft decided not to renew one of my medications.
When I phoned to ask why I was told that the Dr would call me. When he called he stated that he wasn’t happy with medications I take as it’s an unusual combination. He mentioned nothing at all about it being because I missed my review date. It wasn’t until I did a bit of research and realised that the link between my review date and when he stopped issuing the medication I need. Absolutely disgusting behaviour in my opinion. I’ve been a patient at Craig croft for over 20 years and despite the fact we have a new building for the medical centre, the standard of the receptionists attitudes and the drs there has dropped dramatically.
The best thing for Craig croft is to dismiss all of the reception staff and Drs and start afresh.
The nurses at Craig croft are the only ones who treat you like a human being instead of an inconvenience

Disgusting. Rude. Incompetent GP’s!

If you can ever get through and manage to actually get an appointment, sometimes it can take days to get through… well then if you speak on the phone to a GP, they don’t listen, are dismissive, misdiagnose… abs prescribe wrong medication/treatment. On one occasion (there have been several) was told by a GP that I had pulled a muscle. A paramedic had actually told me to see my GP. After eventually hours in A&E I was told that I had erosive gastritis and it was nothing to do with a muscle! Went back with further pains after about a week and GP tried telling me I’d bruised my ribs??! I ended up in hospital having to have a gastroscopy. Consultant at hospital said I needed to sort my meds out with GP. So I’ve been ringing for 2 days now and can’t get through. I can’t keep going to A&E!
Crap

Rude receptionists and they seem to think it's OK to talk to people like children as I had a letter to say the manager listened to my phone call and they had done nothing wrong. They don't bother ordering your prescriptions when you ask them too and you have to argue with them to look at your records to prove the tests you are due to have they just don't want to help
Missing items off repeat prescription

It seemed like the receptionist was having a bad day when I last called. Was extremely rude and had missed vital medication from my repeat prescription. Thankfully kay from croft pharmacy gave me my missing items as understood how vital they were.
Note: if you are having a bad day remember it's people's lives you are dealing with.
