Good treatment but expensive to attend

September 27, 2024
I had surgery to treat macular degeneration at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Treatment was very good and I was happy with the service and care I received, but the cost for me to attend appointments is very expensive. It costs me £50 in taxi fares to attend the hospital and I do not qualify for help with travel expenses despite having a low income. I am concerned that I will have to miss future appointments because of the cost.

Awful inpatient care

September 16, 2024
My inpatient experience here was awful. The lack of care and poor understanding of my disability led to a very poor experience overall. I have made a complaint but it appears to have been brushed under the carpet.

Care of the elderly needs to improve

September 5, 2024
My husband was admitted following a fall at home. His time at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital was not great. He has dementia and is blind, and they did not meet his care needs. He hardly ate while in there and also suffered two more falls while being looked after on a ward. We did not feel listened to and found the whole situation concerning and frustrating.
