Phone consultations have helped

It can be very hard to get a face to face appointment with a doctor, but telephone consultations have helped improve the system and they can be quite useful.
Health Visitor 2 Year old check up

My child's 2 year check up with the health visitor came through without having to chase it up although I had started to worry about it taking place as a family member in Birmingham seemed to get their appointment through sooner. Having a baby during covid has left me feeling a little out of the loop as lots of things that would have normally happened during pregnancy and those early months did not take place. On the whole I have no complaints though.
Excellent community midwife care

Excellent care from the midwives at the surgery during my pregnancy. As a first time parent they were very reassuring, and listened to any concerns that I had. They were very informative and communicated well with me. Overall a very good experience.
Appointments available if you can get through

It can be hard to get through on the phone lines but I can normally get an appointment when I get through. The app would be great but it does not work. Generally my experience with the doctors is that my problems are put down to or dismissed because of my age and/or gender.
Staff here are great

The staff here are so helpful. I had a query about my prescription so have popped in with it and the reception staff have spoken to a doctor and sorted it out for me without any problems. This is a very good surgery and the staff are always friendly and happy to help.

I never really struggle to get an appointment. The staff here are nice enough.
Difficulty getting through on the phone line

The telephone system is very awkward, you have to press 1 for an appointment but your then told that no ones available and it disconnects. Its so hard to even get in the queue on the phone. When you do its normal to be 25 in the queue but at least you have some idea of how long you will be waiting rather than the line just disconnecting. I have been trying for a few days to get in but could not get through. Today I managed to get in the telephone queue and got an appointment easily. This is normally the case. Once you get into the queue appointments are normally available and I have no complaints about the care received here. The staff are all lovely and try their best to help.
Kind and helpful staff

I find it easy to get an appointment here. The reception staff are really good and they are so helpful. The nursing staff are also excellent and very helpful.
Outstanding service and experience

I have no complaints at all. The receptionists always manage to it me in. I am diabetic and have regular blood tests. The surgery always make contact with me I never have to chase anything up.
Serious prescription error

A recent error was made with a prescription that could have led to serious implications. Fortunately this error was picked up by the pharmacy and was rectified.
