It's hard to get an appointment

It's not easy to get an appointment, I am on the phone forever. I have not used the app to get appointments but I am willing to try. The 10 minute appointment limit is not a problem for me but my daughter with ASD does struggle with the time limit, so I know it does not work for everyone.

I find it very hard to get an appointment when I need one. I recently had to self refer for physiotherapy, something that used to be done for you. I find it very frustrating when you have telephone consultations and they ask you to send pictures online. I find it very tricky to do this as I would imagine others do. Having a doctor look at pictures of your symptoms is not very reassuring. I think that doctors need to examine people in person.
10 minute limit on appointments is concerning

I find it hard to get an appointment for the same day. The phone lines are always very busy. When I do get an appointment I am told that I can only discuss one problem and that there is a 10 minutes time limit. This makes feel under pressure and I feel rushed. It is more common to be given an appointment with a Health Care Assistant which I think is wrong. The appointment restrictions and the lack of available doctors appointments is very frustrating and I feel like they really do not have time for their patients and that they do not care.

It can be difficult to get an appointment here. The doctors and nurses are great when you do see them though.

I have received good care here, I have not seen the midwife much though as I already have all of the information I need.
Very responsive to mental health requests

It can be very difficult getting through on the telephone, but the receptionists are helpful and very responsive when I request an appointment for my mental health. I have been on medication for 10 years and have never been referred for specialist help with my mental health struggles. The doctor has explained that they do not think I should have been on this medication for so long, and I would like to stop taking them eventually, but I struggle to see how this will happen without being able to access specialist help for which I need them to refer me.

I can usually get an appointment when I need one. The receptionists do their job but I feel that some of them lack people skills. I have found the doctors helpful with my recent mental health struggles and they have given me information about how to self-refer for additional help and support. The only thing they could offer me was medication which I declined.
Communication was not great

Due to an admin error my visit here was a waste of time as my appointment was cancelled. I chased this issue several times and the communication wasn't great. I never met the midwife that is based here due to these issues.
The doctors are very good and give you time

Getting an appointment can be tricky and I often have to hold for quite some time. That said when you do get an appointment the doctors are very good. They give you their time, listen to your concerns and I have never felt rushed.

I have only had to see the midwife at my surgery once so far. The appointment went well and I was provided with clear information and contact details for if I have any queries or concerns.
