Referred to a different GP practice

Staff are friendly and accommodating outcome of call can depend on who you speak to. I request face to face appointments which are usually accommodated. Today I have been referred to another practice so that my child can be seen by a GP.

I have been with Castle practice for many years. Great staff. Never had a problem getting an appointment.
Mental health not a priority

I feel like my mental health issues are pushed to the side by GPs. I feel like I've been treated badly by GPs, like I'm beneath them.
Mental Health Support with same GP

I had a mental health crisis and received on going support from a specific doctor. She called me to check in with me regularly and the surgery now make sure that all my appointments are with her, not only mine but for the rest of my family too.
No confidence in the healthcare system.

I have lost confidence in the services. I can't get any face-to-face appointment with the doctor, can't access the online service. When I do a blood test, my results are not communicated to me unless I enquire about it myself. So many things have been going wrong since the pandemic.
Call not being answered

When I call the reception, I don't get any answer, I walked in, and they don't allow me in. I don't know what they are all doing in there.
I cannot use the GP online booking

Am 65 years old and it is difficult for me to use the online appointment booking. I have not been able to see the doctor because of this. Calling the surgery is a nightmare.
Improvement with the surgery can be made.

The process is simple when it comes to booking appointments. It is easier to go to request appointments face to face at the surgery if you get their early which I do otherwise there is no chance of getting an appointment. Receptionists are not bad although they are a bit slow.
I have not a had a review yet for medications whilst being at this surgery apart from that there is no problem.
The surgery is clean and accessible.
I have never had any problems with the GP/Nurses. When you do see them, they explain the processes to you, and this is done thoroughly.

I cannot get appointments through the phone lines; I cannot access the online service to get my test results. I have lost confidence in the service and the health care providers.
Great experience with pregnancy

After finding out I was pregnant with my second child, I called my GP practice who referred me to a midwife.
Within 6-8 weeks, the midwife contacted me to set me up on the badger app. She took all of my details etc.
From start to finish, my experience with the GP and midwife was great. I felt taken care of.
