UHB Solihull Hospital

The maternity service at Solihull Hospital is very good. The staff are polite and nurturing. I have been happy with antenatal appointments here.

I have been an outpatient under the care of the ophthalmology department for the past two years. I attend every six months for consultant appointments. I have found the consultant to be very informative and reassuring, and I have been very satisfied with the service and treatment I have received.

I have been receiving treatment in the breast cancer clinic and the care has been excellent. My only concern was miscommunication, prior to a surgical procedure I was told that it would be confirmed the day before by telephone. Being a young parent I had to make childcare arrangements and was relying on this confirmation. I received no telephone call and was unsure if the procedure would be going ahead. Luckily I made arrangements and attended on the date for surgery which did take place. Another person may have missed the appointment due to not receiving the confirmation telephone call. I was admitted for two nights post surgery and the staff were wonderful. The care and support I have received has been outstanding.

I have always found the service at Solihull Hospital excellent. I have never encountered any problems with staff, care and/or treatment. The only thing I have noticed is that parking can sometimes be difficult at the hospital.

I have been receiving treatment for a cornea condition at Solihull Hospital's ophthalmology department. The service and treatment has been very good. Waiting times can sometimes be quite long but I understand that this is down to staffing issues which are sometime unavoidable.

I had eye surgery at Solihull Hospital. Treatment, and the care prior to and following the procedure were excellent.

I was referred by my optician to the hospital for cataracts removal. I had this procedure done at Solihull Hospital. The staff were very friendly and reassuring, and the doctor fully explained what would happen during the procedure. I was told what to expect during recovery and what to do during that period. I was very happy with the treatment and care I received at Solihull Hospital.

I attended Solihull Hospital for an appointment with occupational health. The appointment went well, I felt that my concerns were really taken on board and we discussed my recent decline in health and new symptoms. The occupational therapist was helpful and we discussed a variety of things that could be tried, and they booked appointments for me. I was very happy with the service which left me feeling more hopeful and reassured.

I attended a rheumatology appointment at Solihull Hospital. The appointment went very well. I was in and out very quickly and had a chest x-ray, blood tests and had a steroid injection all done very quickly. Disabled parking was available which was great and made the visit much easier. I was very happy with the service provided.

We attend regular paediatric reviews for Autism. The staff, doctors and nurses are all very helpful.
