Good improvement to accessing GP

It is a lot better now than before. Recently I got a referral to see a dietitian after a while of waiting.
Waiting for referrals for outpatients

My husband was waiting for outpatients referrals from his GP, after a while of not getting any appointment he went private.
Blood test appointment difficult to book

I do not understand why they call me to get a blood test without providing me with appointment to get it done. The receptionist tells me to call and book it myself as if it a straight forward thing to do. It could take me weeks to get any appointment. They are doing their best but I think if they want to help then they should put in a little bit more effort.
Great care for my son

All the staff here have been excellent with my son when he was diagnosed with complex health issues. The doctors and nurses have merged him into the system so well that they are all able to monitor all his appointments, test results and medications. Absolutely helpful.
Waiting time for hip replacement surgery

My mother has been waiting for a hip replacement for 2 years, 3 months ago she was told her appointment has been cancelled. I immediately looked for private care and I got appointment for her. I paid for it, but it was worth it as my mother supports me with my children while am at work. There was nothing I could do. The NHS service is not dependable anymore.
No availability of appointments when required

I was told to ring for appointment at 8am.
Eventually phone started ringing at 10am however I was 40 in the queue.
When I rang at 8AM the phone was not ringing and was saying that the queue was full.
I did manage to get a face-to-face appointment because I know the GP/
Appointment was for a week later from the initial call made as the Dr only works certain days.
Then the receptionist answer they are fine.
The call center has issue with staffing and wonder if it's to do with fund cutting.

Because of how long it takes to get appointments at the Grove surgery, I now come here.

I would like to be able to see the same doctor, so I do not have to explain myself every time I go to the GP.

I do not see the same doctor and for me it is very important for me to see the same doctor for more certainty and quality of care.
I have no issues with the GP

Everyone at the surgery is working hard to deliver a good service to the service users, I feel we need to have more patience with them. It has been difficult for everyone in the past 2 years.
