Great service

All the service my father use in Solihull are outstanding, the only issue will be phoning for appointment but he is now VIP gold so he will be seen the same day.

I have a lot of health issues and the GP is my primary care contact but sometimes it feels like there is no help anywhere. They have my medical records but I have to constantly phone them to remind them of my blood and sugar test and after I have to chase my results and not to mention prescriptions.

I have mixed experiences with surgery over the last few years but I have always managed to get appointment when needed. Latest appointment was sorted within 2 weeks . Very impressed.
I received no response from my GP

During covid, I called the GP with asthmatic attack, I did not receive any response from my GP and I had to go private.
Easy access to GP Surgery

GP surgery is the only service I have not struggled with during covid. They are always doing their best to provide me with best care. However NHS is short staffed plus the current climate people are scared to work in the NHS as the future of the NHS is unknown and its needs sorting.
Poor access to service

Very poor phone system and dreadful to obtain any DR's appointment. The SHP service is still poorly managed for the service users. Not fit for purpose.
Good treatment from the doctor

Dr [name] is kind, listens to problems and referred for ECG and bloods. Would be nice to have a specialist for Fibromyalgia as the GP tends not to understand the condition.

Holding for over an hour for reception

Can't get through because the phone lines are full to capacity. Reception staff are helpful when you can get through. I recently spent over an hour holding for reception.
Poor service creates barrier to specialists

Hard to get through to reception, when you are fortunate enough to get through there are no appointments available. Recently I did get an appointment (finally!) I was told that I would be referred to the hospital but the hospital have not received this referral.
