Impossible to make an appointment

Totally impossible to get to see a GP at the Monkspath practice where I'm registered. If you do manage to get through on the phone (which is also highly unlikely), or make the effort to get to the surgery in person the only appointments available seem to be at partnership surgeries miles away. They simply don't seem to realise (or care) what anguish this causes their 'customers' when a genuine concern cannot be discussed and diagnosed.
Such a shame, as before joining the Solihull Health Partnership I would have recommended this surgery to anyone, but I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole now and am actively looking to move to another practice, one not in the SHP!!

Poor communication

My blood test results are not being communicated to me. I have to call and find out myself and wait for more that an hour to be told to come in the next day to collect it. How about sending it in the post or emailing it to me. They take too long to do things and I wonder why the NHS is struggling.
GP got worse with SHP combined

Had Covid for 4 week. I developed a bad cough. I Contacted GP and spoke to the nurse. they were very efficient, responsive and prescribed me medication. They sent my prescription straight away.
I had to wait a long time on the phone - 1 hour approx.
Since it has combined with SHP, it's got worse. When the GP was single it was ok.

Try to call to get an appointment. Only to wait on hold for over 45 mins to be cut off to call back another long wait and then to be told no appointments but can fit me in in either grove or blossomfield - this isn’t good when have no car and being ill and don’t want to get a bus or taxi when i literally live over the road from monkspath! Yet every time I walk by it is full of elderly people who seem to have no issues in getting an appointment/booking routine appointments. It seems this surgery is mainly for elderly patients who wish to talk about their ailments on a routine basis! Discrimination at its finest!
You cannot make an appointment without queueing

You have to queue outside from 8.30 to make an appointment that is not for today. Good way to spread bugs. Not good in poor weather. Very long queue on the telephone.

Am not happy with how this new partnership works. It is difficult for me to see the same doctor and I wait for hours on the phone to get a response back.

I have been waiting on my Gp to get an appointment for scan since I was diagnosed with Dementia.

3 weeks ago I went to get my blood sample at my gp. The nurse started telling me that I need to lose weight and I have to stop eating certain food . I feel that it was totally unprofessional and that comment made me feel unhappy about myself and felt hurt by the professional.
