No appointments for elderly relative

February 21, 2023
Tried to get an appointment for an elderly relative over a number of days without success. Eventually got an appointment but at Bosworth Medical Centre which meant that my elderly relative could not get their themselves and I had to get time off work to take them.

Can never get an appointment for my child

February 13, 2023
Can never get an appointment neither for myself or my young child. Have been sent to another GP surgery twice now and on another occasion was told to go to A&E.

You can never get to see a doctor

January 27, 2023
When you phone up to get appointments they always say there are no appointments for about 2/3 weeks and the receptionist always want to know why you need to see a doctor. They decide if you can see a doctor or not .

Difficulty getting repeat prescriptions

January 26, 2023
My elderly parent has severe allergies and needs to have two epi pens in case one fails. Trying to get a prescription for an extra one has been difficult. Not having two available at all times is life threatening for my parent and can also mean the difference between two hours in the hospital and being admitted for a few days.

Poor diabetic support

January 25, 2023
I tried to speak to a doctor because my blood sugars were very high. I couldn't get an appointment or speak to a doctor and that receptionist told me to adjust my insulin myself. I didnt get the help or support I needed and did not know what to do.

No explanation of medication

January 25, 2023
I have a learning disability and anxiety. The doctor gives me medication but does not explain what it is or why I need to take it. I don't have the confidence to ask. I shouldn't have to ask.

Access to mental health care with GP is difficult

December 12, 2022
My GP is a joke, I can never get any response to any enquiries regarding my mental health. The phone lines are always busy and when I finally get through they tell me to call 111 or go to A&E.

My prescriptions are being lost

December 9, 2022
I have a repeat medication and for the past months the GP has been forgetting to send it to the pharmacy, I have to phone them every time to remind them and I cannot even get through to speak with anyone. It a nightmare.

Unhelpful with anything

December 9, 2022
Because of my mental health, the doctors and everyone at the surgery treats me with no respect. The doctor talks down on me and sends me away.

Overall service and care at GP is poor

October 11, 2022
I tried 2 months to get appointmkent and still have not managed to get one.
When you contact the surgery for an appointment, you are waiting on the phone for 1-2 hours only to be cut off the call and then having to ring back.
It is a bad surgery. Drs are not stable as they are locum Drs.
Receptionists do a good job when you see them face to face. They are hopeless at answering the phones.
When I have managed to get through, you have to go through your concerns over the phone first and then over a video call.
"You have to be literally on your deathbed to be able to see the GP face to face".
