Wait a very long time to get through.

A long time to get through, to be told there are no more appointments available, try again at 8 the following morning.
I have 'built up' a number of health queries, simply because I just don't want to phone, and then only get advice over the phone. I need to show/explain in person and not through sending in a picture.

Rude, unhelpful and not a clue

Rude when you do finally manage to speak to them. Took 4 weeks to add my newborn son as a patient and when did call for help fobbed off with the person speaking on the phone and being told to “just go to A&E”. Despite waiting for weeks for the registration to be done there is no nominated pharmacy and can’t get a prescription out of them despite waiting 4 weeks. In addition to this just generally rude!
Poor system set up and unprofessional staff

I was informed that I am unable to order a repeat prescription via phoning GPS Healthcare or visiting the surgery. The only way it could be processed was leaving a note or doing it online. I did it online. When arriving at the pharmacy, they stated they were unable to give me the medication as it was not confirmed by the doctor, as I was due a review. I was then told to get back in touch with the doctors. I visited the surgery (Meadowside) and the staff told me they can’t help and to make a phone call. At this point, from my car, I phoned and waited over an hour to speak to someone. Then, this person apologised and said the medication will be there within the next couple of days. I returned to the pharmacy for this to happen all over again, resulting in me phoning the surgery and then waiting a further two days. Disgusting service. People cannot and should not be put in a position where they are unable to get the medication that they rely on simply due to poor service. It was a much better, friendlier experience when you were able to communicate directly with the individual surgery rather than the switchboard.

This is the Winchcombe Rd practice, virtually impossible to get an appt now. After waiting up to two hours on the phone you're told to call back the next morning, when again, it's impossible to get through and when you do there are no appts left. Online appt system has also been disabled so people who need to speak to a GP now cannot. This will lead to lots of illnesses, cancers etc going undiagnosed and people will die unnecessarily, absolutely disgraceful.
Great GP service let down by booking system

impossible to get any forward appointment. Absolutely not suitable for those who have busy working schedule. Expect to have to ring up at 8am on the day to get an appointment. I can not turn up for work or cancel my appointments to fit in with their booking system, this is not how the commercial world works.

I had a telephone consultation. My symptoms were low temp of 35. Shivering and cold. No cough. No loss of smell. Vomiting when I eat. Nausea. Etc. If I have an infection these are my general symptoms. Go would not prescribe antibiotics but said it was a virus and asked me to go for a test. I did reluctantly because I didn’t feel well enough to drive. Test was as I expected negative.

2 hours + on the home 8th in the queue, get to 2nd and back to 8th again. Absolute joke. Had to pay to go private in the end and really can’t afford it.
