Generally good but reluctant to prescribe ant

I can get appointments okay and they're good in general but they've been unwilling to give me antibiotics when others seem to be much more willing.
Online booking system is a real hassle!

Having to book appointments online using the online system is a real hassle. You have to go on line early in the morning which can be difficult if you are at work or if it is urgent and you are really not feeling well. You can get a call back from the surgery but if you miss the call you cannot call them back. If they offer you an appointment and its not convenient it is very difficult to get an alternative.

I have been trying to get an appointment through Patches but it is constantly closed so advises you to contact Tanworth lane directly. I am then forced to wait in a queue over 30 to be told they can’t help as I’m required to complete the Patches form. It’s like groundhog day!

Not able to get an appointment

I have been trying to get an appointment. I phoned up and spoke to the receptionist, I explained I had a chronic sinus infection she told me she had not got any appointments. She told me to go online and use a system called patches, I tried patches, it was closed. I waited an hour then phoned back to speak to the receptionist. I explained and she tried patches for me but she couldn't get on patches either and there were no appointments so she told me to phone back next day or phone 111. I didn't want to do that as I was feeling really unwell and wanted to see my GP so I went private. I was told I had a chronic sinus infection and chest infection. The new system is not working

Can never get in even in emergencies

I can never get an appointment here and the wait lists are very long. Every time I want to get a face to face appointment I have to queue up outside. Even in emergencies I can't get in.
A satisfactory service

Tanworth Lane provide a satisfactory service. Recently I have used Patches to book appointments which has been pretty helpful.

I can never get an appointment. The staff really push for patients to book online. I cannot navigate the system. I attend the surgery in person to try and book but the queue is always really long and by the time I get to the front of the queue there are no appointments left. The service is awful.
Confusing information around vaccination

The shingles advert I have seen says that shingles vaccines are available for people aged 65 and over but the doctor I saw here told me it was for over 70s only.
