Hard to get appointments but good when I do

It can be difficult to get appointments here and I am sometimes offered appointments at other practices. When I have seen a doctor here the appointments have gone well and their emergency service was good when I needed it.
Can't get through to book appointment

I have been trying to get an appointment for 4 weeks. I have a bad cough and a rash on my leg. I have really struggled trying to get through on the phone. I finally managed to get an appointment a week from now but I have been waiting for ages.
Hard to get an appointment

Hard to get appointments. Sent all over the place for appointments. I sometimes go down and queue from 7.30am but still cant get appointments.
Inconsistent medical advice

A poor experience due to a lack of consistency. Over the last 6 weeks I have seen two different doctors who have told me to stop and start taking different medication. Its hard to make an informed decision when the doctors give contradictory advice.
Difficulty getting face to face appointments

I am happy with my GP but my experience would be better if it was easier to get face to face appointments. Most appointments are telephone appointments, and I prefer face to face appointments as I believe you get a better service and its far more reassuring to be examined in person by a doctor.
Excellent diabetes nurse

The diabetes nurse at Tanworth Lane surgery is fantastic. My experience of the surgery in general could be better. I find the service quite erratic, and it is difficult to get an appointment. I cannot fault the doctors once I see them they are very good.

I have no complaints about Tanworth Lane Surgery. I can usually get an appointment and on the whole appointments go well.
Trying to get an appointment is a nightmare!

Booking appointments is an absolute nightmare, and even more frustrating when I am trying to book an appointment for my young child. They have a triage system but it's common that they do not call you back when they tell you they will. My child is on the waiting list for ASD/ADHD diagnosis but the difficulties they face continue to worsen. With nowhere else to turn I try and get them seen at the doctors to at least make a record of the difficulties but I cannot get an appointment, and they do not even call back.

I am very happy with the service. I have no difficulty getting appointments. The reception staff are very kind, and I find the doctors very helpful.
Good when you get through

Once you get through they navigate you well around the services. 90% of the time I do get to speak to someone in practice or a GP. I find the surgery quite helpful and friendly.
