Poor health care provision and processes

When I contact the surgery for an appointment, they should not be keeping me on the phone for long.
When they provide a call back, no time is given and as a result you cannot go anywhere. They need to provide a time to make people aware.

Doctors need to explain how they can assess over the phone for a condition i.e. breathing difficulties as that normally requires me to do a breathing test. It is hard to diagnose for a condition if face to face assessment is required.
I have Hearing impairment and arthritis and this can be an issue.

Asthma nurse provides great service

I go to see the Asthma nurse for my asthma. The nurses are great.
They always send regular appointments and when the reviews are due.

No support during miscarriage

There was lack of support from any medical professionals during the pregnancy, especially as I experienced a miscarriage in 2019.
When I had my first miscarriage in 2019 I received no bereavement support or care. I was left to deal with the situation and grieving.

I was lucky I had my family to support me but if I did not have that support I would not have known who to turn to. There are other people like me who have no access to family support.

Poor accessibility service

I had to go for blood test at the GP with the nurse. I have difficulty with my health.
The nurse was not allow to drop me near the waiting are when I asked for her help.

GP are not seeing people face to face

I was not able to see doctors.
I have heard some surgeries in Kingshurst & Marston Green are able to see there GP face to face.

The surgery provides on line call-backs, however this is ok for minor things but not for conditions which are serious or worrying. Also leaving home is an issue for people like me who have accessibility and mobility difficulties.

When you do eventually managed to get an appointment, they are for video appointment or they ask you to send pictures for diagnosing purposes, which I do not agree with ask they are not able to assess the concern over a picture.
I would prefer seeing GP's especially with concerns around my mental health issues.
I have been advised to come in and pick up a leaflet when I have contacted regarding health concerns by the admin staff.
When I have contacted the receptionist for an appointment, I have to explain myself and I find then being intrusive.
I have seen staff at the surgery shouting at patience/elderly patience for asking questions.

What are the GP’s doing as they are not seeing people. I have now stopped trusting the GP’s.

Cannot get through or see the GP

My son was having serious mental health issues and was threatening to end his life, I wanted the GP to see him and figure out options for him. I called and called and I never got any appointment to see the GP. The receptionist told me to call 111 for help. My son is now under mental health services and he is doing better. I still did not get a phone call from the doctor.

No support from the gp for my addiction

I find it hard to get and support from my GP for my addiction in the past. It was all charity support. As a black woman, I feel am being judged all the time. I can not even share my feelings with my GP because they will judge me.

Cannot get through

It is hard to get an appointment. I damaged my back at the gym while I was doing what was recommended by the GP. When I phoned the GP the receptionist told me to take paracetamol.

Waiting to see the doctor and medication

I have a skin condition and I have tried to get the GP to see it and give my a proper advice. I am being told to send a picture rather. Its been going on for too long. The chemist told me that I need to see a dermatologist but my doctor has not seen me and therefore can't a referral.

I have been struggling to move around lately because of my knee, I called the GP and they have not still contacted me back to advice me on what to do. This is very upsetting and I am loosing my patience.
