Waiting to see the doctor and medication

I can not get any appointment and the phone lines are very busy in the morning. I have been waiting for 3 years for my hip surgery and I could not wait anymore. My children had to pay for a private one. Now I feel better and I can go about with my daily routine.

I have been waiting for 4 years to see a doctor. Everything is phone consultation and the reception makes the decision on whether my condition is serious enough to see the doctor. It is very upsetting.

For my kids it easy to get through but for me as an adult, it is not easy. I have been trying to get assessment for my mental health and they keep telling me to wait for the doctor to see me.

not a good service

not really good to me, I keep calling and am always number 42 in the queue at 8;30 am. I fall back asleep while waiting. I need my medication to be checked and changed because I have been on it for almost 8 years.

For 2 years I have been waiting to see the doctor and get my medication sorted. I get a phone call for consultation and the call is short and my health issues still persist. I want to have face to face so I can really discuss my concerns.

Can not get through

Getting through for appointment can be very challenging, occasionally the reception will say I don't need to see the doctor for my medical needs. And the reception wants to act as if they are medical professionals.

When I phone 18 month ago, I asked to be referred to a specialist for my foot, I have not seen anyone yet. The nurse said she referred me to Boseworth medical center and they have not contacted me .

I had an open heart operation 2 years ago. I phoned the GP to tell them about my wounds and the reception asked me to send a picture of my phone and then after I was told that there were no wounds and that I was making it up. A district nurse I know looked at is and advised me to go to A&E.

Can not get through

I have called the doctor and the reception tells me the doctor will call back. Its been 3 weeks and still no call back. I feel like I can not depend on the NHS anymore. I have worked all my life and now I can't get anything back
