Excellent care from Fracture Clinic

My grandchild was rushed in with a bad break. The staff were lovely and took great care of him. The break was severe and we were transferred to another hospital but our experience here was outstanding and we could not fault a thing.

Long waiting time for treatment

I went there for my kidney stone problem. I waited for hours in pain. I was even asked to go home because there was no doctors available to look after me. I was told that there was no staff available.

Lack of communication with patients or continuity of care

I lost contact with my initial consultant, and every time I go there I see a new consultant. I am not happy about it.

A long way to go but excellent care

I was treated as an outpatient at Good Hope hospital. I was a bit put off due to the distance when Solihull hospital is on my doorstep but the care I received was excellent. Seen quickly with good communication from staff about procedures and treatment. Overall very pleased and would happily use again if it means I am seen quicker.

Still waiting for results 3 months later

I had a mammogram last year at Good Hope. Whilst services, care and experience were generally good I am still waiting for the results over 3 months later. I'm not happy that I still don't have the results.

Great care from maternity ward staff

I had my baby at this hospital and it was a great experience. All the nurses and midwifes were great, the breastfeeding support was great too.

8 months for a promised call by consultant

Promised a phone call from the consultant in January 2022.
But it took 8 months for them to get back to me.
I had to chase the appointment. I feel like the secretary was a barrier, couldn't get past her.

The review rating doesn't take into account that I understand how busy the hospital is and stretched.

Still waiting for operation, been 7 months

Was referred by the GP to hospital for operation.
Been on the waiting list for an operation at Goodhope, 7 months - not good at all.
Previous operation was not done properly so needs doing again.

Sonographer showed no empathy for my anxiety

My first scan was not long after the covid period so my partner was brough in separately and could only come in briefly.
Although it was my second pregnancy, I was still very anxious, and I didn't feel much understanding or empathy from the sonographer. It felt rushed and I did end up leaving feeling very upset.
