GPS Healthcare - Yew Tree

My recent experience was very good. I used Patches and received a telephone call within a couple of hours booking my appointment at Yew Tree Surgery. It is not the normal surgery I visit but it was no problem and my appointment went well. Access to face to face appointments has definitely been made easier with Patches.

My experience of the GPS surgeries before the introduction of Patches had not been great. In the past 5 years I had managed to secure two telephone consultations but had not seen a GP face to face. It has been much easier to get a face to face appointment using Patches and I am very happy with the service that I have received. I have been able to get an appointment for my 5 year old with no problems. I hope this improved service continues.

Prior to the introduction of the Patches system my experience was horrible. It was difficult to get through on the telephone and book an appointment. Patches has been amazing and I have been able to use the system to secure appointments for myself and my children.

When I need an appointment I ring the surgery. The call back system works well. I received a request to attend but the message did not specify which of the GPS surgeries to attend, which was confusing.

I book appointments online, and find that the system works well. The doctor are very good. I am happy with the service I receive.

It is very difficult to get appointments here. When I was bitten by a dog recently I had to fight for an appointment as they tried to send me to the UTC instead. During the appointment they asked why I hadn't been in for my mobility problems and I explained that I can never get an appointment. The surgery is so nice and new but there is never anyone in there. What are they doing? Where are the doctors?

The service provided is not very good. I cannot get through on the telephone. I can never book an urgent appointment when I need one. You can book an appointment up to two weeks in advance but when your unwell and need to be seen asap this service is no use.

I am constantly fobbed off by doctors and the front desk.
Want an appointment? Ha
Want a repeat prescription? Haha
Want help or anything at all ? Hahaha
I blame this surgery for a lot of my suffering physically, mentally and emotionally. This doctors has genuinely made me worse and too riddled with anxiety to ask for help.

The staff here are rude and unhelpful. There are never any appointments available and the doctors will not give you treatment.

I do not use this service very often but when I do it is a struggle to get an appointment.
