Croft Medical Centre

Can’t get an appointment no matter how many times you call! They say call from 8am well I do that and am in a que for about 20-40 mins and then they say no appointments! Sometimes I don’t even get that far they just say they are busy and I get cut off! Had letters and texts off the surgery telling me I need to book my mental health check …. 3 months I’ve been trying to get one and I’m still trying !!! When you do finally get one it’s a phone call one and the last doctor decided to send me a wild goose chase for my prescription, telling me she had sent it to Asda pharmacy, walked all that way to be told it wasn’t there, held in a que for 15 mins to get through to doctors who then tell me it’s been sent via Pharmacy2U, it’s antibiotics I needed them that day ! So she said she would send a different once to Croft, went there but nope it was at Asda, rung Asda and all of a sudden it was there ! I wasn’t prepared to walk all that way back not feeling well so I had to get Asda to release the script into the portal so Croft pharmacy could pick it up !! All in all I spent over 2 hours trying to sort a prescription the damn doctor could have easily sent straight to Croft which is literally next door to the surgery instead of sending it a good walk away from me! Absolute joke and it actually made me not want to see a doctor …. So god help me when I get poorly again, I’ll Probably worsen Just waiting for a prescription!!!

Never had a problem myself with the doctors

It is impossible to book an appointment and if you are lucky to have one it's by phone. So how can you show or explain your symptoms. My last two appointments the doctors said it's normal and I have ended up admitted in the hospital, one of the situations with a kidney failure. This year my experience with a midwife was absolutely terrible. Her first phrase to me was "I shouldn't see you". She didn't care about me and everything that I was complaining she was only saying "it's normal". I was the one asking for vaccines and asking about the other stuff that it should came from her. Also she lied to me about pre natal classes and other stuff.
In overall this GP is absolutely a joke and a nightmare.

I ring for a doctors appointment , not to get rudeness and unprofessional staff on the other end of the phone !!

Have been trying to access my gp for over 8 weeks with absolutely zero success.

Awful service, receptionists are patronising & rude, impossible to be seen & an overall response of ‘couldn’t care less’. The only practitioner with a modicum of compassion is [name]. The complaints system is futile, I asked for a complaints procedure and was ignored. They think because we have to live in Chelmsley Wood that we’re all unemployed under class morons. Absolute disgrace, pathetic excuse for a health service. Go elsewhere and do not use!!

Constantly cut off while trying to contact surgery.

The reception staff are beyond awful! Uncaring, patronising, sound bored when they eventually answer and that’s if you get in! Appointments system is a joke!

Had a message to book a health check, went for the appointment and they are not doing blood tests which is in my opinion the main part of a health check, waited and heard the staff saying no bloods to be done, asked the question when called and they said no bloods due to the national shortage of vials, I didn’t bother staying for the check, complete waste of time, they shouldn’t be booking these if they aren’t doing blood checks !

I had an appointment at City Hospital for a nerve conduction test on my hands back in July. I waited 4 weeks before chasing the results. When I did call I was told my results are on the system but are yet to be reviewed. I asked to speak to a doctor but was told to call up after 8am and make an appointment for the doctor to call me back. I have tried to get through numerous times but end up being too far down the queue to secure an appointment. Losing my temper doesn’t benefit anyone so I just end up forgetting to call and chase them again. I just want my results and to move forward with treatment. I work, so only have the opportunity to try and get through twice a week.
