Never get appointments

It is impossible to get an appointment!

August 4, 2021
I have tried to get appointments in the last couple of months and it is so difficult. I phone at 8.00 exactly as it really is impossible after this time. It will be permanently engaged so I have to keep hitting redial. I eventually get through to the automated voice recording and after letting me listen to that for a couple of minutes, it then tells me that there are unprecedented high call volumes and they can’t take my call. I keep going through this process (immediately hitting redial each time) until I eventually get in a queue. I can remain in this queue for 59 mins only to find that the call is disconnected and I have to start the process all over again. When I do finally get through to speak to a receptionist, there are no doctors appointments available. It’s so frustrating as I need to commence the same process the following day. There is no alternative process even if you don’t require an appointment that day. I finally got an appointment for my husband who was suffering with depression and found the whole situation unbearable. I have to say that the triage nurse practitioner has been really helpful once we got an appointment although the doctor cancelled the follow up appointment with Nick and we’re now back in the cycle of trying to get an appointment.

Appointment system is an absolute joke

Impossible to get an appointment. Phone dead on 8 AM, put into a long queue and then cuts you off after 40 minutes of waiting. If by someone miracle you do get through a receptionist (with a really bad attitude) tells you there’s no appointments available and to phone again the next day and start the whole process over again.

Horrendous, improvement in all areas needed.

Shocking service. Impossible to get through on phone, when finally through to reception no appointments available. Receptionist can be extremely rude at times. When you do have an appointment everyone is left standing out side, no seats offered. Always have issues with prescriptions being ordered and issued.

Very poor experience

Can never get though the phone line and when I am told to ring back next day. Doctors won’t see face to face and just advise to go to A&E. very disappointed with this practice. The people’s health should be important to the practice but they have some improvements to make massively.

Leave old people standing outside

My step dad who has breathing issues has been left to stand outside for more then 10mins, no matter the weather. I know covid is around but think this is diabolical

Can't get in to see a GP, not helpful at all

August 2, 2021
I spent all morning on the phone trying to get my 6 year old daughter an appointment and when we eventually got through we were told she couldn't be seen and to call back the next day. We were told to go to the badger clinic online but had to navigate through and work it out for ourselves as there was no advice on where to click or how to book in. We never phone the doctors and when we do it's because we actually need to be seen. If you aren't ill before 8am then you definitely won't get an appointment when you call slightly after that. I've put off so many things including my smear test because while working I don't have a whole morning to try to get through to book it, especially when you are then turned away.

Poor - attitude is they are doing me a favour

I work from 9-5 min to fro so trying to call & make an appointment is near impossible. As a result I rarely bother which is not good for my health. Drs are generally rude - customer service is poor only get treatments / positive advice when I’ve seen a loccum! I had to have a call re some results the receptionist was unhappy when I said I could not take the call as I would be at work till after 5 - Gp was rude on phone moaning he'd had to call me so late - sorry but they get paid each year to treat me but rarely see me then provide such a dismissive service. During the pandemic - I work for ASC- it was disgusting how GPs refused to do HV to the elderly, vulnerable, end of life but were happy to send out the DN’s - what did GPs do?
I was told by a Gp he would have to do a study of auburn haired patients pain threshold - yes i am ginger - in response to me experiencing out of the blue acute period/abdominal pain in my 40s but was then diagnosed with endometriosis with operation to ‘resolve’ - again I rarely go to the GP so when I do go I expect to be treated as an adult who has capacity & is not an emotional female. Poor service -

Can never get through on the phone.

Can never get an appointment to see or even speak to a doctor as according to the receptionist all appointments go by 8.15 even though they open at 8. When you speak to a receptionist untrained medically they think it is OK to make thier own diagnosis and decide you don't need an appointment with your doctor and send you off to the local walk in centre as according them its not urgent enough to see a doctor. I have a painfull medical condition but if I want my prescription I have to travel up to the doctors to put in a request then travel back again to get any medication. No consideration for disabled people or people with mental health as the receptionists seem to think they are above a receptionist and make you suffer in pain.

Racist doctor

The doctor racially profiled my partner. Also the receptionist need to improve there attitude to patients. They act like your a drug addict when you ask about your tablets being short because they have made a mistake. I hate going there and would rather wait and go hospital
