Excellent parking for disabled patients
Outpatients
December 18, 2023
They have a great parking scheme for people who are disabled and have a blue badge. There is ample parking and it is free if you show the parking attendants your blue badge.
Appointment for X-ray ran smoothly

Attended for an X-ray, was seen very quickly and experience was good.
Physiotherapists were not encouraging
Physiotherapy
December 14, 2023
The physiotherapists were not very engaging and did not support or encourage me. I felt like they just told me that I was not going to improve any more and that was that. I was disappointed with the service.
Excellent cancer services
Cancer services
December 14, 2023
I have been treated for colon cancer here, and have had two operations. Both were day surgeries, and went very well. The staff were absolutely brilliant. I am now waiting for my last operation and if this one is successful I will hopefully get the all clear.
Wonderful oncology team
Cancer services

I have been living with prostate cancer for a number of years. The oncology department at Solihull hospital have been wonderful. I cannot fault them at all.
Waited 4 weeks for urgent CT Scan
Imaging
December 14, 2023
I was referred for an urgent CT scan but waited 4 weeks for the appointment. Staff were great and my experience was good but the wait for the appointment made is a poor experience overall.
Repeat tests, no record of previous care
Cancer services
December 14, 2023
I recently underwent a number of tests for cancer. When I attended Solihull hospital I was unsure exactly what the appointment was for, as I had had all tests done at a primary care unit. The staff were very nice and most helpful, but they informed me that there was no information on my medical records related to the testing that had been done. The appointment went ahead and they had to repeat tests, which included another biopsy. I do not blame the hospital directly but it is very unfortunate and a complete waste of NHS money that I had the same procedures and tests carried out twice.
Long road to diagnosis
December 13, 2023
It has taken over two and a half years to get a diagnosis and I am now on the waiting list for surgery. My consultant at Solihull has been very good, and Sunday appointments have been excellent because I work full time.
Seen quickly in the urgent treatment centre
December 13, 2023
I booked an appointment via the telephone. I was seen promptly, and the doctor was very thorough. I was advised that I must attend A&E. I went to Warwick as I could not face attending Heartlands or the Queen Elizabeth.
