Husband visited for scans and MRI

August 31, 2022
My husband was under the respiratory department at the Solihull hospital but was referred to Rugby hospital for treatment. Only visited the hospital to have scans and MRI which was really good. The staff were good.

Badger clinic walk in was a life saver.

August 31, 2022
Occasionally used badger walk in when it was available. Would like to see the the service back in Solihull. It was a life saver. I last used them before they closed and for shingles which I got seen for. They were very good and dealt with the health issue as soon as I sought their medical service.

treatments at Solihull Hospital

X-ray

Went in for most treatments at the hospital. The service and staff were excellent. Regular appointments were set by letter and occasionally verbally but they would give you a lot of notice in advance. Last visit took place 12-15 months ago. I attend for scans and seeing the consultant for my conditions as I have Arthritis and heart problem.

Treated at Solihull Hospital

August 30, 2022
Went in for most treatments as I have a false knee, Arthritis and Heart problems. The service and staff was excellent. I received regular appointments by letter, occasionally verbally but I was given a lot of notice before hand within the last 12-15 months. I also attended for scans and seeing consultants about my hip replacement and operation and arthritis.

Bring back the badger clinic and A&E in Solihull

August 30, 2022
Bring back all the services like A&E and Badgers.
I suffer from Arthritis, Atrial Fibrillation, Turners Syndrome and Thyroid.
With all my conditions, I would like to use local services which are accessible.
I do not like going to Heartlands due to a bad experience with them and Walsgrave Hospital is too far for me to get to with mobility issues.

Specialist Centre Dept.

The service provided is excellent. You get the help when it is needed especially as I suffer from Autism, Arthritis, Epilepsy Anxiety and Reflux disease. Regular appointments are not generally offered but when it is required, you can ring in the morning to get seen on the same day or the next day. Staff are friendly and polite. All services are accessible.

Outpatient appointments were not good.

Rheumatology
August 29, 2022
A few years ago I was under the rheumatology department at the hospital for pain management treatment for my Fibromyalgia. The outpatient appointments were not good.
One doctor was rude. The doctor asked what I had. I answered and then said "Well there you go". The doctor made you feel like it was a condition of the mind and not body due to the way I was made to feel. I received appointments every 6 months. Because the department was not treating me well I requested to be transferred to the city hospital. I did have hydrotherapy at the Solihull hospital which I only received 10 sessions for. There has been no reviews or follow ups since.

Would like to see A&E back in Solihull

August 29, 2022
Would like to see A&E back in Solihull.
The service was more accessible for the local people like me who have multiple long term conditions and disabilities.
I suffer from Fibromyalgia, Asthma, PTSD and depression along with Autism.
I don't feel there are any local accessible services and have been moved to central of Birmingham.
Service and staff were very good when there was a local A&E.
Now if there is any emergencies, I am unable to get to them as I have accessibility issue.

Waiting since November 2021 to see a neurologist

August 26, 2022
Referred by GP to see a neurologist in November 2021, after collapsing in the car whilst en route to a holiday in Wales. Had gastro-enteritis & spent 24 hours in hospital in Cwmbran. Was also ref'd to a cardiologist & have been seen & cleared. In the meantime, I am unable to drive until cleared by a neurologist. Have had no other instances of collapse since. I keep phoning only to be told I’m still on the wait list but no idea of when I’ll be seen.
