UHB Solihull Hospital

I found it very frustrating when I attended a rheumatology appointment the doctor/consultant did not know anything about why I was there. I had to sit and explain everything to them. I just find this a waste of appointment time. The appointment went well otherwise.

My experience of the blood testing department at Solihull Hospital has been absolutely brilliant. The staff are very friendly and communication has been good.

I visited this hospital for a scan and they were fabulous.

Everything is pretty straightforward in ophthalmology, they provide a good service.

They are terrible. During my stay in urology I was waiting 13 hours to be seen by a doctor and needed to use the toilet but nobody helped me. They also didn't know how to fit a catheter even though it was the urology department. Once I got out I was given an appointment but then they called and tried to cancel it. I had to say that I am elderly and need to plan things well in advance, then they changed their minds. They called me back again the next day to cancel saying the doctor was off sick. All of the doctors I see just say they don't know what's wrong with me, I feel like they don't care once you're past a certain age.

I was referred here by my GP and everything was good. The doctors are very helpful and it was a quick process with no wait times.

I visited this service for issues with my stomach and the care was good. It was my first time coming here. Everything was sorted quickly and I'm happy with the service overall.

The nurses, admin staff and service are all great. I visit the ophthalmology department for my eye problems and every time things have run smoothly.

I came here for an MRI and they were brilliant. I have no complaints.

My experience with ophthalmology has been awful. I waited for 2 hours to be seen after struggling to get an appointment in the first place. It's always difficult to get in and I'm not happy with the service in general.
