I usually have home visits for podiatry care but at my last home visit they wanted me to attend the hospital and see a doctor. My appointment went okay when it finally happened but I encountered problems getting the appointment and attending the hospital. The first appointment was cancelled by the department and then the second appointment was cancelled due to problems with hospital transport.

My experience of prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment at Solihull Hospital was very good. I cannot fault the team of staff who cared for and treated me. My condition is now managed with daily tablets and I have regular checks ups and blood tests to monitor my condition.

My experience of breast cancer treatment and care at Solihull Hospital was excellent. The staff were wonderful, kind and very supportive at a difficult time during diagnosis and treatment. I cannot fault the team.

My experience of Elmdon Ward was poor. Patients were shouting and balling in the middle of the night and disturbing the other patients on the ward. It was very hard to get any rest. It was a very difficult situation with some patients having dementia. They really should not be put on wards with non-dementia patients. It is unfair on those patients and also those of us who were getting disturbed at all hours of the night. The ward seemed very busy and understaffed. Patients did not get the care and attention they needed, including myself.

My experience of the blood testing department has been okay. I have been happy with the service provided.

My experience of chemotherapy treatment at Solihull Hospital has been very good. I had to attend every three weeks for treatment and the care I received was very good.

I have to attend Solihull Hospital for blood tests every 12 weeks as part of my oncology care. The service here is very good. I am always seen quickly.

My outpatient appointments prior to treatment commencing have been fine.

I have a hernia that they won't operate on. I'm not sure why this is the case as I'm on a lot of medication to manage it and would prefer the operation to sort it out long term. As long as they keep providing medication to control it though I suppose it's okay.

I came here for hand surgery and I'm happy with the care I received. The communication was good and I was given a number to call if things get worse.
