Poor follow on care from dermatology

I was treated by the dermatology department two years ago and had to have an operation. I received no follow on care at all. I had to chase them, it took some time and was quite frustrating. I finally had my appointment and I now need another operation. I have been left wondering what would have happened had I not chased this appointment up, it should not have taken two years to be seen again. I am very disappointed with the service I have received.

I had a rheumatology appointment at Solihull Hospital. It was cancelled and rebooked for Good Hope Hospital. I was not happy with the service received, and I am disappointed that they have now changed the hospital I have to visit. Solihull Hospital is local and Good Hope is quite far to travel.

I have been left very disappointed by the service provided by the oncology department at Solihull hospital. I have had my appointment cancelled and rescheduled for three months later in March. They also changed the appointment from a face to face appointment to a telephone appointment. I was not happy with this and I contacted the department, they were very helpful and have changed the appointment back to an in person appointment.

I recently had day surgery at Solihull hospital. I was called on the morning and told to come in earlier than planned because space had opened up earlier. I went to the hospital as requested but was then delayed by several hours because of an emergency. This could not be helped and I was happy with how the procedure went. It was just unfortunate.

I ended up having to pay for a private ophthalmology appointment due to horrific delays to appointments here.
Good but could have been simpler

I needed a pre-op assessment for ankle replacement surgery. I had a phone appointment first then had to go in for an ECG and blood tests. While these were good I feel it would have been better to just have the one appointment.

The staff here are really helpful and kind. The service is overall is okay, I was seen slightly late but it was still within reasonable time.

The cancer team have been great. My consultant has been brilliant and they have looked after my treatment well.
