SHP - Grove Surgery

I am happy with the care I receive. I really like the doctors here. They have time for people, they listen to what I have to say, and seem to genuinely care for their patients.

I have a diabetes check up every year with the nurse. I am happy with the care.

The staff are great and very helpful, and the doctors are wonderful. The problem is accessing the services. It takes numerous calls to get through and then its quite normal to be 40th in the queue. The people caring for the patients is not the problem, the problem is the structure and systems in place. The problems need addressing urgently.

The staff are very helpful. I like to see the same GP, and put up with the long waiting times to see them.

There has been a recent improvement in accessing doctors appointments, although it can still be a struggle to get an appointment on the same day. It is easier to get appointments by attending the surgery but you have to be queueing at opening time, and that is not always feasible. It seems that there are more doctors at the surgery now which might be why appointment access is improving. The doctors are generally good.

I am happy with the surgery, but it is disappointing that you cannot see your community midwife at the surgery. I have to go to the hospital for all my appointments. The community midwife is difficult to contact, and it is hard to re-schedule appointments.

I am a new patient. I found registering very simple. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. I have been called in for a routine check up as a new patient. I have been very happy with the surgery so far.

It can be hard to get an appointment, but once you navigate your way through the booking system and you get an appointment the doctors are very good, and I am happy with the level of care I receive from them.
