Can't get appointments

Cant get appointments and can't get message to the DRs.
Have to wait in the queue. Rang once and i was no 30 in the queue. 20 mins of waiting took me to 23 in queue.
You dont get to speak to the Dr when you do get through to the receptionist.
The staff at the surgery do not like to turn up at the surgery.
Since pandemic it has changed and find the service no longer accessible. Almost like they have shut the doors and locked it.
The telephone line sysntems needs to be improved.
Have to go online and have to leave a message to get an answer back. No call back service provided.
Not able to stay on the queue if you are working.
Since merging with SHP the service has got worse.
Not seen any doctors for 3 years and when you do want to see a gp, you give up because of the process.
The diagnosis cannot be done over the phone. A face to face assessment is required and being able to get answers on the day is required as lack of this add anxiety especially when you are worried about a health condition

GP are nice and do a good job. Staff are very pleasant and friendly,
Only feedback there is two weeks wait for getting appointments.

Was given a letter from the hospital asking me to get into touch with my GP
Tried to get an appointment over the phone but it would not allow me to join the call with the call queue reaching is capacity.
Had to eventually visit the surgery. Visited on a Monday and did not get and appointment until Thursday for Heart Review.
Receptionist are not medically trained to be able to advise if the patients need to see a doctor /nurse and the importance of seeing a medical staff.
Positive - Professionals are good,
Feedback - more money needs to be spent on training new nurses and nurses need bursary for starting.

Can not get through

I can not get through and when I do the reception is acting like they are the doctors. My daughter has stomach issues and I have been taking her to see the GP and still not resolved.

I have to wait for hours to book appointment on the phone or use the apps most of the time. The reception asking too many personal questions and sometimes I feel it is inappropriate.

GP appointments are over the phone. Difficult to get appointments face to face.
When you contact you have to wait in the queue. If you are working this is not always possible, making it non accessible.

The service is not great can never get through on the phone system and appointments limited.

Excellent service, great nurse and really good with aids.
