GPS Healthcare - Meadowside Family Health Centre

I attended Meadowside surgery concerned about a lump. The doctor insisted it was a fatty lump. I was unhappy with this and following number of appointments I insisted on being referred to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with cancer. I had to fight for the hospital referral and had I not my cancer may have been left untreated for much longer reducing the success of treatment. I feel that I should have been referred straight away and should not have had to be made to feel like a nuisance.

I struggle to get appointments here. I have also struggled to get a district nurse to visit to change dressings and they were no help.

Doctors don’t call when they say they will and then cancel appointments to avoid calling. The reception staff are beyond rude and act like it’s a favour when they actually decide to carry out their job.

The diabetes nurse here is good and always books my next appointment in for me.

I can't get appointments here. I recently called at 8am and was number 18 in the queue. When I got through I was told that they were full and I needed to use patches but that didn't work either. I went in to the surgery and there were 30 people in the queue. They told me to ring 111 to get an appointment. I am still trying to get an appointment but eventually went private for diagnosis.

I visited this service for a blood test. The person who did it was very calming and I'm happy with how everything went.

It is not always easy to get appointments here. For my baby's vaccinations the appointments have been all over the place not necessarily at this practice.

I have no issues. I can always get an appointment for both myself and my children.

I have no issues with this surgery. I am not on the net so they send me update through text. My doctor has been smashing.

The surgery overall is good but it is sometimes difficult to get appointments. My regular doctor is always good.
