No appointments

August 1, 2021
You can hang on the phone forever. The front doors haven’t been open for months and requesting personal things over the intercom is embarrassing. You don’t know if they have heard the bell and it says do not ring twice, so you stand there like a lemon.Anxiety overload!

Impossible to get appointments

August 1, 2021
When phoning at 8 like they say your put at number 18+ then get to number 1 and the phone is cut out, phone back to be number 20+ then buy the time I’m back at one there’s no appointments it’s absolutely disgusting even pre covid having to be at the doctors when it opens for a appointment when I have children to get to school it’s not acceptable

Mission Impossible!

August 1, 2021
The GP’s at this surgery have been NOWHERE to be seen since Covid hit. You can’t see them, you can’t get through on phones, no appointments EVER available. Poor poor service!
We had better service when they were in portacabins. New building was wasted effort, always empty.

It's impossible to get an appointment,

August 1, 2021
Myself and Mt daughter have been ill and not been able to even get through to the surgery. This has resulted in my daughter eventually having to call an ambulance. I feel that had she been able to see a gp this wouldn't have gotten to the point of having to put more strain on the hospital.

Excellent service.

I had had a persistent cough and been for many Covid tests which all proved negative. When I called Croft I was seen by Doctor Baker the same day and was given antibiotics and referred for an urgent X-ray. When that came back clear I was referred for a CT scan all in a matter of a couple of weeks. I was eventually diagnosed with a lung condition. Thanks to the surgery it is now manageable.

Poor

August 1, 2021
Rude unqualified reception staff trying to deal with medical issues. Face to face appointments with doctors almost impossible. Diagnosis over the phone is ludicrous and causes unnecessary visits to a very busy A&E department. Arranging repeat prescriptions is unnecessarily time consuming forcing. It’s about time the doctors now realised they are a public service and the profession they are within requires face to face consultation. Which is professionally and safely conducted by many hospital, dental departments and even retail outlets already.

Midwife services are terrible

August 1, 2021
Let them know you’re pregnant and you’re assigned a midwife, currently 22 weeks pregnant and yet to meet her. First appointment was a disaster, double booked, duty midwife struggled to get bloods. At my first scan Hospital wasn't aware my pregnancy is high risk until they looked further into my history as midwife had put it down as normal despite me airing my concerns and telling her what happened during my first one. Missed 16 week appointment because midwife wouldn’t answer the phone or return messages. Ended up in hospital, still not spoken to midwife. Not really sure what’s next appointment wise as no contact at all from her.
Phone the surgery they’re just unhelpful, that’s when you can get through. Never had issues like this with my first pregnancy at a different surgery. Understand and sympathise they’re really busy but I feel I’m missing out on basic care.

Appalling care

August 1, 2021
Appalling wait times on the phone lines every single morning. No proactive follow up of blood results - had to ring the surgery and find out I needed an emergency prescription.
This surgery also failed to diagnose Sepsis and it was only because I took myself to A&E following on from a telephone consultation that I survived. Some appointments should not be a telephone consultation only even with a fever. Care provided at this surgery is dangerous and shows incompetency in both medical knowledge and research.
