Bosworth Medical Centre

I have been having my routine blood tests done here recently. The service has been very good.

Today was the first time I have been to this surgery. I was booked in with a nurse by the Chester Road surgery. My appointment went well, the nurse was lovely. I would be happy to come here again.

It is very difficult to get an appointment at the surgery. When you get an appointment the doctors are very good, but they are very hard to see. The reception staff make the experience at this surgery unpleasant. They are not helpful at all. They are unapproachable and the way they talk to people on the phone is awful. I worked for the NHS for years and if my staff spoke to patients the way they do here they would have lost their jobs.

I find the surgery very good in general. When I really need to see a GP I manage to get an appointment. The nurses are very good here too. They pre-book your appointments when you need a follow up with them.

The midwife I see regularly here is great. The service is fantastic. It is very personal in comparison to the care you receive at the hospital. You really get to know the midwife, they get to know you and seem to genuinely care about you and your baby. They have been very helpful and friendly, no question seems to silly to ask, and they are very informative and reassuring.

It's very hard to get an appointment. The receptionists are rude and unhelpful. I hate that you have to explain your situation to them. It sometimes feels like they are the ones diagnosing you. They are a little better when you need an appointment for a young child. The doctors are nice, its just hard to get to see them.

I recently put two separate prescriptions in on the same day. When I went to the pharmacist to collect a few days later, as instructed, one prescription had not even been sent over. I had to go back to the doctors to chase it up. It took four return visits to the reception desk for them to get it right.

It's just so difficult to get through on the phone. I call when the phonelines open and its usual for there to be over 20 people in front of you in the queue. Its just a complete waste of time because you know that you will be told there are no appointments left. I had to collect a prescription last week so asked to book an appointment for my wife. I was told that they could not make the appointment for me and I had to call. I was persistent because she really needed to be seen and they managed to book me a hub appointment on the Saturday. I have called before and been 21st in the queue, whilst on the phone I have come to the reception (phone in hand, on hold), and there's no staff in sight. Not one member of staff in reception, no one answering the phone. They just blame all the changes on covid, this cant keep being used as an excuse.

I was booked here for an appointment with a nurse by my surgery at Chester Road. I have been here before for my covid vaccinations. My experiences here have been very good.

I have no complaints, when I really need to see someone I get an appointment. I find the staff friendly.
