Access to appointments is a concern at GP

October 11, 2022
You cannot always get appointments when you contact the surgery as get through on the phone is an issue.
When you manage to get through, the staff say someone will call me back later, but they never do.
By the time you manage to speak to anyone the appointments are all gone.
Trying to get medications is a struggle.

Not giving me the right treatment for B12

October 10, 2022
I have vitamin B12 deficiency, and I have done blood test which indicates that, I need to have injections, but the GP has refused to agree to this treatment for me because to them I do not need it. I am being given anxiety medication instead. It has been going on for a while and I have no more strength in me to fight with the GP. I have made a complaint on the NHS app.

Failure to listen and give right medication

October 10, 2022
I have Vitamins B 12 deficiency from since my childhood and that has caused me to have different health issues. The GP has refused to acknowledge my condition and has not given me the medications I need. I have been fighting for this for years and am tired of them.

Not a good service

October 10, 2022
I have a very bad experience with my GP. I never get appointments, long waiting time for referrals and sometimes no referrals at all. The GP fails to investigate properly, and they have made mistakes so many times.

No appointments for my child

October 10, 2022
It is hard to get any appointment for my kids when they are not well. The reception will advise me to give my child paracetamol and they will tell me my child do not need to see the doctor. One time my son had a continuous sickness, and I could not get any appointment to see the doctor and I ended up taking him to A&E.

Not a good service

The GP is horrible in every aspect, no appointments, long waiting time in the queue. No referrals to see specialists at the hospital. The GP ignores my concerns and tells me is not urgent.

I self medicate because I don't feel comfortable going to the GP

I self medicate because as a black man, I don't feel comfortable going to the GP. It unlikely for me to go there when I feel unwell. I use herbs and other natural remedies.

Waiting to see the doctor and medication

September 28, 2022
It's been 2 years and I still have not managed to see a doctor, I have a chronic disease and I need medications for it. Since the first lockdown, it has been difficult for me to see the doctor face to face. There is no point calling or walking in there. The practice has completely isolated itself from the service users. I have thought of moving to another GP but it a problem that has affected all the GPs in Chelmsley Wood

Receptionist interference

September 28, 2022
It's hard to comprehend how a receptionist can make a decision about my health without consulting the doctors. The receptionist told me to take paracetamol for my persistence headache. On two occasions, I have had to go to a private doctor for something that my GP could have looked at.

Have to chase up on test results as a diabetic

September 21, 2022
Being a diabetes patient, I expect that the GP will give me more attention when it comes to my physical health. I have been completely left on my own. I do my blood test every 6 months and every time I have to chase up for my results. It does not end there because I have to wait for appointment to see the doctor to give me update on my health.
