The cancer service at Solihull hospital is sometimes inadequate, I get misinformation and I do not understand why I have to be sent to other hospitals for check-ups. I do not drive and in my condition, it is difficult for me to travel.

Appointment waiting time

Gynaecology
March 1, 2023
I went for my appointment, I arrived 30 minutes earlier and I waited for an hour before someone told me that I have to wait for another hour before I will be seen. I was not happy at all. In total I spent 3 and half hours just to be sent home and come back another time, in addition, I paid 5 pounds for the parking.

Surgery cancellation

Outpatients
March 1, 2023
I got a letter saying my elbow surgery has been cancelled and that I have to start another referral process to get another appointment in 3 months. It has been 2 years and it is impacting my daily life. Now my GP will take a while to start getting anything done. I can barely get face to face appointment.

Great care environment

Outpatients
February 20, 2023
Two years ago I had a knee replacement at the hospital and it went very well. All the hospital staff were amazing and they deserve all the good things such as a good pay and days off. There are very few staff in hospitals and it is difficult for the staff to take time off.
