Very good service, seen very quickly

Attended today with my daughter for an endoscopy. Very happy with the service and care received. Good communication from staff. We were seen promptly and the procedure did not take too long.

Rheumatology - very accessible & informative

I am receiving ongoing care from the rheumatology department. They are excellent. My consultants secretary is easy to contact and helpful. The specialist rheumatology nurses are great, I can call and leave a message and they always call me back.

Good ongoing care for complex stomach problem

An ongoing stomach complaint has been thoroughly investigated with all options of treatment explored. I am now due to be operated on for my stomach complaint and a hernia repair. I have had a combination of face to face appointments and an online appointment with the surgeon which have been fine. I have now had my pre-op assessment, an ECG and bloods done in readiness for my upcoming surgery. I am very happy with the treatment I have received. Staff at all levels have been informative and communicated well with me.

Good care, good facilities

I attend Solihull hospital for regular CT scans as part of my cancer treatment. Appointments have always run smoothly, I don't wait long and the staff are lovely. Results are received quickly with good communication. Parking at Solihull is never a problem with plenty of disabled bays close to the entrance.

3 year wait for general surgery

The care here is good but has been incredibly slow. I have not seen my consultant in person since before the covid pandemic. I have been waiting 3 years for general surgery. I have twice come in for pre-op assessments and both times the surgery has been cancelled. I am now on an urgent waiting list and really hope the surgery happens soon.

Brilliant Service - No complaints!

I attended Solihull hospital for a bone density scan as part of my care for severe osteoporosis. The service has been brilliant so far. No complaints from me at all.

Exceptional care and service at Breast Clinic

Received outstanding care at the breast clinic at Solihull Hospital. Was seen very quickly, the whole process was explained to me by the nursing team. I had a mammogram and scan and was seen by the consultant who was very informative and reassuring. I was given results by the consultant on the day who advised me that nothing looked sinister but as a precautionary measure a sample would be taken to confirm. I received these results quite quickly too.

Visits here are always very good. Wish they had an A&E department because Heartlands is awful.

We are very pleased to inform you that in June 2023 the MIU will be opening again and in addition to this service there will also be a minor illnesses service which will be provided by a local primary care provider (GPs) and this collaboration will mean that the two services will be opened in June as the Solihull Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).

The UTC will provide a much needed urgent care service – supporting with minor illnesses and injuries - for the residents of Solihull.

Urology - Waiting 9 months for an appointment

I had a scan back in June 2022 and I am still on the waiting list. I have no idea when I will be seen. I have been waiting for 9 months so far. I am living with the on-going worry and I feel desperate for answers.

Staff at the endoscopy were very rude, I was sitting there waiting for almost an hour and no one ask me anything. Any time I tried to ask them a question, they say they are busy. It was very unpleasant environment.
